 YHVH: the name of God. The God of Israel; of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob
 Yeshua: the Hebrew name of Jesus; meaning in Hebrew: “salvation”
 Moedim: Hebrew word for appointed times, holy days of YHVH, feasts
of YHVH, or Biblical Feasts; “Jewish holidays”
 Torah: first 5 books of the Bible; the “commandments” or “instructions”
of YHVH; the “right-rulings” of God; the light unto our path; shows us
what is sin and what is right

A Sign to YHVH’s People

 YHVH set the precedent in Genesis
 Genesis 1:14-19: sun, moon, and stars are signs for the appointed times
 Psalm 104:19: the moon is for appointed times
What is a Blood Moon?

 A blood moon is when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon.
The sun shines through the atmosphere of the Earth and casts up on the
moon a red shadow causing the moon to appear to be red.
 Joel 2:30-31: The sun is turned to darkness and the moon into blood
before the great and terrible day of YHVH
 Acts 2:17-21: In the last days, I will pour out My Spirit and shall show
signs and wonders in the heavens
 Revelation 6:12: Sixth seal
Tetrad

 When 4 total lunar eclipses happen back-to-back in a short amount of
time
 Total lunar eclipses appearing so closely together is extremely rare
 Even more rare is when all the total lunar eclipses coincide with the
Biblical Feasts of God
 Only 7 since time of Yeshua
 Only 3 in the past 1,000 years
 No more in our lifetime
 These types of blood moons always signify turning points for Israel


 14th day of the first month – Leviticus 23:5
 Time of the 10 plagues
 Lamb’s blood on the doorpost saved the first born
 After 400 years, Israelites freed from slavery
 Eat unleavened bread to commemorate the flight from Egypt
 Yeshua is our Passover Lamb
 One of the 3 Feasts required to go to Jerusalem
 Passover, Shavuot (Pentecost), and Sukkot
Sukkot

 15th day of the seventh month – Leviticus 23:34
 5 days after Yom Kippur
 Most somber, holy day of the year; Judgment day; We go before the throne of God;
Written in the Book of Life or Book or Death; Fate for the next year is determined
on this day
 8 days of rejoicing and celebrating
 Sleep in sukkahs – booths – to remember when YHVH brought our forefathers
out of Egypt
 Known as the “Wedding Feast”
 Thought to be the time when Yeshua will return to earth

 The significant event can happen before, during, or after the blood
moon
 We are given specific dates for the moons (Feasts of YHVH), we are not
given specific dates for when the events will occur or what exactly they will
be
 Importance of being a watchman and always carrying extra oil
162-163 AD: Persecution,
Diaspora, Famine, Plague

 Some of the most brutal persecution of Jews and Christians
 Tiber River floods in 162 AD causing destruction and massive famine
 Antonine Plague
 Brought back from Roman campaign in Syria
 Killed between 5-8 million people – 1/3 of the Roman population
795-796 AD: First Defeat of
Muslim Empire

 Emperor Charlemagne of the Holy Roman Empire established a buffer
zone between France and Spain
 Ended centuries of Arab invasions into Western Europe and halting the
expansion of Islam into Europe
 Jews were relatively free under Charlemagne
 After his death, Catholicism took over and began another period of
persecution for the Jews
 Many Jews were murdered during this time
842-843 AD: Fall of Roman
Empire

 Vatican and other Italian cities are attacked and plundered by Islamic
forces from Africa
 Roman Emperor Theophilos died
 His 4 year old son, Michael III, takes the throne through council of regents
led by his mother, Queen Theodora
 Queen Theodora quickly reverses Theophilos’ ban on worshipping images
and icons citing “Christian principles of belief”
860-861 AD: Second Defeat of
Muslim Empire

 Byzantine Empire defeats Arab armies at the Battle of Lalakaon in
Turkey
 Permanently stopped the Islamic invasion of Eastern Europe
 In 860 AD, Emperor Michael III (now 22) sends delegates to a council in
Constantinople to clarify the issue of worshipping icons and images
 Result was a period of friction between the Roman and Greek Catholics,
which ended in a split between the two groups in 869 AD
1493 – 1494: Spanish Inquisition

 King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain expel all Jews
 July 1492 on the 9th of Av

 September 2015-2016 is a Yovel year
 The Jubilee/Yovel year of release begins after the 49th year
 We have just ended a Shemitah year and began a Jubilee Year!

 First time in 2,000 years that a tetrad occurred on Feasts AND a Shemitah

 Release our past sin and turn to Him with all our hearts
 Keep the Sabbath holy
 Pork and shellfish
 Ask the Holy Spirit how you should walk in His ways
