A. SLOTHFUL
 Jeremiah 29: 13, And ye shall seek me, and
find me, when ye shall search for me with all
your heart.
 Proverbs 25:2 , It is the glory of God to conceal
a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out
a matter.

B. FOOLISH
 A foolish person is one who will hear the truth and
yet that truth never becomes a part of his life. The
Pharisees of Jesus day was most like this. A fool is
a one who does not hear truth properly. He uses
truth for his own selfish gain.
Matthew 7: 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,
neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample
them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
 Proverbs 1:7 7 Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true
knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

C. UNREGENERATED OR UNSAVED
 I Corinthians 2: 14
 14But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness
unto him: neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned.
 John 3: 3
 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

To His friends.
JGreater love hath no man than this, that a man
lay down his life for his friends. 14Ye are my
friends, if ye do whatsoever I command
you. 15Henceforth I call you not servants; for
the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
but I have called you friends; for all things that
I have heard of my Father I have made known
unto you. John 15: 13-15

A. Daniel.
Daniel 2:27-30
 27Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The
secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men,
the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto
the king; 28But there is a God in heaven that revealeth
secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar
what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions
of thy head upon thy bed, are these; 29As for thee, O king,
thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should
come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh
known to thee what shall come to pass. 30But as for me, this
secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more
than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known
the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know
the thoughts of thy heart.

B. Abraham
Gen. 18: 16-19
16And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward
Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them
on the way. 17And the LORD said, Shall I hide from
Abraham that thing which I do; 18Seeing that Abraham
shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all
the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19For I know him, that he will command his children
and his household after him, and they shall keep the
way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the
LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath
spoken of him.

C. Peter
Acts 10: 9-17 9On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and
drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray
about the sixth hour: 10And he became very hungry, and would
have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, 11And
saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as
it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to
the earth: 12Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the
earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the
air. 13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and
eat. 14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything
that is common or unclean. 15And the voice spake unto him again
the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou
common. 16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up
again into heaven. 17Now while Peter doubted in himself what
this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men
which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's
house, and stood before the gate,

A. All Types of Prayer

Ephesians 6: 18-19 Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for
all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given
unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make
known the mystery of the gospel,

Types of Prayers,
1. “Praying in tongues “
 I Corinthian 14: 14-15 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my
spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it
then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the
understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing
with the understanding also.
 Romans 8: 26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our
infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we
ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the
hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Types of Prayers,
2. “Speaking Mysteries “
 I Corinthian 14: 2 2For he that speaketh in an unknown
tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man
understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh
mysteries.
 Psalms 42:7-8 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy
waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone
over me. 8Yet the LORD will command his
lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his
song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of
my life.

B. By His Spirit
 I Corinthian 2: 1-16,
1And I, brethren, when
I came to you, came not with
excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the
testimony of God. 2For I determined not to know any thing
among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3And I was
with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much
trembling. 4And my speech and my preaching was not with
enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of
the Spirit and of power: 5That your faith should not stand in
the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6Howbeit we
speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that
come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes
of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not
have crucified the Lord of glory.

continued: I Corinthian 2: 1-16
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love
him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his
Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the
deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the
things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in
him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but
the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the
spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that
we might know the things that are freely given to us
of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the
words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the
Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with
spiritual.

Corinthian 2: 1-16
14But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness
unto him: neither can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is
spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is
judged of no man. 16For who hath known the
mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?
but we have the mind of Christ.

A. The Spirit Man is Refreshed, and Brought to
Rest
 Isaiah 28: 11-12, 11For with stammering lips and
another tongue will he speak to this people. 12To
whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may
cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:
yet they would not hear.
