Please review and get back to your CMG Project Manager as soon as possible. 1.0 Considerations Bed Bug Doctor (BBD) seeks to create a website that captures demand for people looking for bed bug termination. Based on a cursory review of project we suggest the following: Strict Adherence to Keys to Small Business Success: 1. Correct Marketing Message 2. Targeted Marketing Efforts 3. Streamline Process to Capture Demand 4. (then) Marketing Materials From experience in working with hundreds of small businesses we know that marketing materials (business cards, brochures, websites) have very little to do with success. Despite this, many small business start by focusing on marketing materials before answering key questions like. Who is my market? What do they want? Who are they getting services from now? How is my business better at serving the target market? What is my core business message? What am I best at? Etc. Answers to these questions can help BBD create a targeted message that fits the needs and wants of potential clients. From that point marketing materials like the company website should be developed as part of a strategic plan. We have a few online articles to help you hash out some of these basic questions (click here) 2.0 Quick Marketing Plan At the very least we suggest a quick market study to tell us how to develop marketing materials. For example Who are target markets? Who are core competitors? What services does your company provide that have competitive advantage? What is your company’s core message? A client intake sheet with many of these questions can be found here We did a quick study on Google searching for various keyword combinations of Bed Bugs including local searches using San Francisco. We found very few dedicated local companies that focus only on Bed Bugs. Most top search results are from articles on heavily trafficked websites like sfgate.com, bedbugregistry.com, sfbg.com. What this tells us is that the search term Bed Bugs & San Francisco has very little traffic, which indicates one of two things. 1. There is little market demand (or we may have the wrong keyword combinations) 2. There aren’t many dedicated suppliers to capture demand (at least locally – www.bedbuginspection.info - seems to be prominent) Depending on which is true should influence Bed Bug Doctor’s marketing approach. If there is little market demand then much of BBD’s marketing efforts should focus on educating the market about the problems that bed bugs present. If there aren’t many dedicated supplier to capture demand then Bed Bug Doctor’s job is to blitz the market letting people know BBD is open and ready for business. Either way, below are some general marketing strategies we recommend: 1. Spend time to find profitable keyword combinations that people use online to find information on bed bugs. (see below Google keyword output) 2. Spend time getting into local media (news papers, local news, etc. ). The top spots on Google for Bed Bugs all belong to publishers. Publishers are always looking for Opinion Editorials and news about problems that scare people. Ten mentions in various news outlets can position Bed Bug Doctor better than $1,000’s in marketing. 3. Participate in Social Media: BBD should use social media services like facebook and twitter to disseminate information. It’s cheap, fast, and effective. All three of the above suggestions are free or relatively cheap ways to drive traffic to bedbugdoctor.org. 3.0 Website We took a look at www.bedbugdoctor.com along with some competitor website and have the following suggestions. 1. Stay Away from Click & Build Websites: though considerably cheaper than having someone develop a website, a click and build website in the long run costs companies business. How much it costs is hard to quantify, but we can clearly see that successful companies (small and big) have professionally developed websites. 2. Use Design That Can Hold Information: we believe that a big part of BBD success will be educating people on the problem and solutions. So we suggest a design that holds information well. Designs like: (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) – Note these are not recommended layouts, only examples to showcase possible ways to display a lot of content. 3. Unique (Color, Logo, Pictures): as a small company BBD will want to do everything it can to grab attention. Use of color along with custom logo and pictures can go a long way in differentiating BBD from the competition. For example (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 – note #6 has a link to a feature on abc, this is an example of getting on local media) 4. Scare People Further: if people are searching for bed bugs they have a concern. BBD’s job is to make sure the concern becomes full blown fear, so users can see the complete value of services offered. To do that we suggest the strategic use of pictures and video. 4.0 Estimated Cost Full Marketing Plans start at $1,000 which includes 30 hours of services. Websites vary depending on feature set. A website that rivals the examples above and includes Custom logo, color scheme 6 Core page Design (Home, About, Services, Contact, etc) Video, picture, and content integration (note we will BBD content you provide) Integrated blog (something we think is critical to ranking high on Google – see keyword recommendations) Free SEO (see SEO package below) Contact form for users to send information Hosting setup and upload Estimated Cost: $1,350 - $2,000 Timeline: Marketing Plan: 7-10 business days Website: 10-12 business days after content is collected 5.0 Payment Guidelines Payment for CMG projects are as follows: 50% project deposit before work begins 25% after work sign off phase 1 25% before launch or turnover of materials Payment Options Below: Payment Options Pay By Mail : Check or Money Order Pay Online: PayPal Chazni Marketing Group 144 Somersby Blvd Pooler, GA 31322 Click Here to Send Payment To: pay@chazni.com 6.0 Agreement CHAZNI MARKERING GROUP STANDARD AGREEMENT Less than $20,000 This Agreement is made on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, between Bed Bug Doctor / Bed Bug Doctor (BBD) ("Client") and CHAZNI MARKETING GROUP (CMG).
