POSITION TITLE: Senior Account Manager – Digital & Communications Strategy JOB PURPOSE: Manages client relationships and works with EMC staff and suppliers to ensure implementation of all elements of EMC campaigns to achieve client goals. Develops and builds new client relationships and business to contribute to the on-going success of EMC. POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Account Manager - Digital & Communications Strategy is responsible for ensuring excellence in the development, delivery and management of integrated campaign strategies to clients across all EMC_HR_PD_Account Manager - DAP_May 2013 Page 1 / 3 Communications and Digital and Production (DAP) services including; free and paid media, digital campaigning, print design and video production, advertising and media buying. They are expected to develop strong client relationships and assume a thought leadership position providing advice to junior staff. They are further expected to contribute to the ongoing success of EMC by undertaking Business Development activities including building networks, sourcing new work and effecting onsells to existing clients. ACCOUNTABILITIES Client and Issues Management ● Provides sound advice and suggests Communications and DAP strategies and solutions to ensure delivery of client requirements and campaign outcomes ● Understands and manages client needs, issues and timelines and escalates any issues as necessary ● Provides input, advice and support to communications elements of campaign delivery where necessary ● Maintains a set level of fees under management per month as determined by KPI’s Project Management ● Understands and works within the developed client strategy, context of the campaign and contract parameters to ensure profitability and client satisfaction on all levels ● Works across Communications and DAP teams implementing and delegating tasks to ensure successful project completion ● Works with external suppliers to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of tasks ● Ensures timely delivery of multiple tasks/projects by working concurrently on those assigned Administration and IT Skills ● Provides and gains insights from analytics reporting for client and internal team reports ● Provides accurate and timely expense information on EMC monthly account summaries ● Develops, creates and ensures the accurate, timely and cost effective implementation of supplier briefs ● Manages elements of winning new business, such as tender submissions and proposal development in conjunction with DAP Associate Director, EMC directors or other senior staff as appropriate ● Uses EMC document management and accounting systems with due diligence and within EMC guidelines Strong Relationship Management ● Manages existing relationships and works to develop new opportunities for business development ● Works with and supports staff in other EMC divisions to deliver on client expectations ● Liaises with suppliers to co-ordinate and implement tasks and briefs in order to meet client needs Team Management and Mentoring ● Works with other members of the DAP and EMC team to develop ideas and achieve client goals ● Provides training to EMC staff and clients in the successful and appropriate use of digital tools ● Encourages and supports a team approach to projects, meeting with members regularly Business Development ● Identifies and successfully converts current and new client opportunities in line with budgets and KPI’s ● Participates in internal forums to further strengthen the EMC model and effect organisational growth EMC_HR_PD_Account Manager - DAP_May 2013 Page 2 / 3 ● Represents EMC at external forums to facilitate the development of new leads and networks of potential clients Comprehensive Knowledge of full EMC service offering ● Actively markets all EMC service offerings at events and forums in order to secure new business opportunities ● Contributes to the on-going success of EMC by participating in the development of new service lines ● Ensures the most appropriate methods of communications services are utilised at all times to effect client outcomes Digital and Production Skills ● Conducts ad hoc updates and maintenance to the content and functionality of client websites and social media channels ● Assists in the management and content strategy and development for EMC’s internal websites ● Assists in the roll out and training of staff and clients on new DAP initiatives, practices and systems as necessary KEY SELECTION CRITERIA 1. Solid understanding of the online landscape and web functionality with a track record using online and digital campaign tools of CMS, email marketing software and social media platforms. 2. Experience with the production process and advertising/media buying. 3. High-level interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to apply these skills with a wide range of clients and stakeholders. 4. Ability to work to competing deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail. 5. Creative out of the box thinker and problem solver. 6. Willingness to learn, display initiative and take on new responsibilities. 7. Ability to work individually or as part of a team and take direction from others. 8.
