Currently we are looking for a Storage Engineer to join our team! The Storage Engineer will be acting as a consultant for clients in the NY/NJ area. The consultant will help design and implement SAN and NAS strategies that will revolve around the client’s requirements. Job Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • Plan, Design and Implement storage infrastructure at client locations according to best practices Technical Lead on complex projects that involve multiple disciplines such as Vmware, UCS and Networking Work with CDI and EMC Solutions Architects to understand client requirements and solutions overview Interact with client and client representatives as necessary to implement solution Mentor and share knowledge with other members of the team Perform data migrations utilizing tools such as Open Replicator and Powerpath Migration Enabler Design and Implement local protection solutions surrounding TimeFinder, Snapview and RecoverPoint CDP, Snapsure Design and Implement Disaster Recovery solutions surrounding SRDF, Mirrorview, VNX Replicator and Recoverpoint Ability to troubleshoot and resolve storage related issues as they arrive Understanding of Operating Systems and how they relate to EMC Storage Arrays Requirements: • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Four plus years hands on experience with EMC CLARiiON and VNX storage arrays, EMC DMX and VMAX storage arrays, Isilon and VPLEX a plus Four plus years hands on experience with SAN Switches (Cisco, Brocade) and have performed ISL, FCIP and NPV/NPIV in fabrics Four plus years of data migration experience Understanding of Operating Systems and how they relate to EMC Storage Arrays such as VMware Highly organized, with strong communication, and consultative experience and skills Able to command an audience Able to work in high-profile, potentially stressful customer environment Able to work flexible schedules, evenings and weekends, according to project requirements Able to deliver high level projects with minimal oversight and direction Able work as a leader of a team on large projects providing direction to a project manager and engineers. Able to provide technical support to the presales teams for services and product support Able to conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job related knowledge and skills. Able to obtain related technical certifications as needed. Able to communicate effectively in written form. • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Visio and Word.
