There used to be a time when you could leave your front door unlocked at
night. There used to be a time when folk generally aimed to be nice to each
other. When a dollar was worth a dollar. When schools not only taught the
three "R's", but the civic duties that afforded us the privilege of being
American.
When schools allowed prayers and the Ten Commandments hung ever
mindful on the walls. There was actually a time, when politicians could
generally be trusted to do what was in the best interest of our nation. We
used to be like that, not many decades ago, but now, those days seem like
some mythical, innocent age in a faraway land.
I pray you will afford me the opportunity to lament a moment on the current
state of affairs for our nation. The USS America struck an iceberg a few
decades ago, and has been in an incremental state of sinking. Unfortunately,
it was happening at such a slow pace, that most people have either forgotten
or were willingly ignorant that it was happening at all. But as time progressed,
the ship has started to list more noticeably to one side, albeit, due to our size,
most Americans ignored the lean in their drinks and simply attributed it to the
tossing of the ocean.
Within the realm of American Christendom, overwhelmingly, the idea that
Christ will soon return, has been all but ignored. The reality of Christ's soon
return, has not been preached. The message of Christ's soon return, has
been labeled "sensational" and thus dismissed. The popular rebuttal of "every
generation has thought the Lord would return in their lifetimes" is oft repeated
by well-meaning, seminary trained clergy.
And yet, the furniture is now starting to slide across the deck.
The question then is whether there is any prophetic significance to our
national demise?
Assessment
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the
sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on
his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a
leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a
lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I
saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly
wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So
they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they
worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war
with him?" And he was given a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His
name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to
make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him
over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship
him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world. Rev. 13:1-8
In the context of Revelation 13, we know that there is coming a system and a
leader who will wield his total authority over the entire earth.
The entire earth also includes, the United States.
This system (personal speculation here), will come in the form of an Artificial
Intelligence that is created in Europe, through CERN or perhaps some other
European entity which cracks the code on bringing this system online and
quickly gains control over all the other information, military, and economic
digital systems connected to the grid. All other electronic systems will become
controlled by it, and since we live in a day and age, in which the world (and
the US in particular) is wired together by the World Wide Web, the prospect of
the power of this Artificial Intelligent system is frightening.
We also know this power cannot be American in nature, because Daniel 9:2627 states that the same man who heads the Beast system as mentioned
above, is someone who comes from within the boundaries of the old Roman
Empire. Although America could claim some familial linkage back to Rome
via Europe colonialism (Spain and England), I think a lot of nations could
equally make that claim...at which point, makes the claim moot.
In regards to our nationalistic decline and its prophetic implications, there are
too many factors that I do not have the word space to go into but will
summarize my understanding into a few bullet points. The bottom line is we
as a nation have turned our back on God and are now reaping the
consequences of these decisions. (See Romans 1:18-32)
*The mainline denominational churches departure from preaching and
teaching the literal and inerrant word of God.
*The Supreme Court decisions have legalized and legitimatized evil at the
national level.
*The acceleration of the moral decay of our society is in large part due to the
glorification of wickedness and violence by the music, print, television, and
movie industries.
*The persistent, leftist educational-propaganda, have brainwashed
generations of kindergarten through university into secular, humanistic
reasoning.
*Our political attempts at dividing Israel and more importantly, Jerusalem.
*Maybe it is all of these.
In reaping the consequences of our actions, we are electing men and women
to rule over us who do not have ours or the best interests of the United States
in mind. These people, both Democrat and Republican, are being influenced
either knowingly, or unknowingly by demonic principalities and powers, to
abandon our constitution and nationalism for globalism. They are being
influenced to believe that the only solution to all the world's problems, is to set
aside our laws and borders and come together on a global scale, which is why
our leaders today, are doing things that seem so antithetical to the well-being
of the preservation of the US as a singular, sovereign nation.
At present, we have another 15 months to go until the next US president can
take over and between now and then conservatives bemoan the prospect at
the acceleration in which our current administration is feverishly working to
undermine America's greatness. Even if we make it to the next election, the
damage being done now by those currently in power, will make our recovery
virtually impossible.
Many still have hope that a national recovery is in our immediate future, and
that a return to our former greatness comes by way of electing another Ronald
Reagan-type leader. It would be nice to have a leader who cared for the wellbeing of this nation, but economically and mathematically speaking, the game
is up. At $18 trillion dollars in debt, and upwards of $100T in unfunded
liabilities, we do not have enough tax payers paying into the system to ever
pay back the money we've borrowed. Aside from the debts we've accrued
from other nations, the most devastating one is the debt to ourselves, because
we've borrowed against our children and grandchildren's future, so we can live
comfortably today.
And because the world uses our currency as its Global Reserve currency, our
economic demise will absolutely force a restructuring of all the world's
economic and currency markets. I believe it is in this vacuum, that this final
"beast" system will rise to fill the void that the American experiment left
vacant.
Conclusion
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the
love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh,
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of
God abides forever. 1 John 2:15-17
The average American Christian doesn't know why their nation is falling apart
and increasingly becoming hostile to their faith. On the other hand, the
watchful Christian, may be dismayed, but at least is not surprised by this
because they know God's word has already told us that the in the last days,
the world would wax worse and worse. Watching the 'hand of God' being
removed from your nation, and living through its incremental and impending
collapse, is not a pleasant experience. Were it not for the promise of our
Lord's return, many would have given up hope long ago and regressed back
to their former lives. That is why holding on to the "Blessed Hope" is so
crucial in these dark days. And because most of the American churches
today are not teaching the Lord's soon return, we are in fact seeing many
depart from the faith in record numbers.
For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,
that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction,
whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame-who set their mind
on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly
wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body
that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by
which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:18-21
While this appears all 'doom and gloom' as we so often we are accused of
being, we know that there is an eternal, golden-age coming. There is coming
a Kingdom who will have no end and there will be an end to all corruption,
greed, murder, perversion, violence, and every other deviant form of sin Satan
ever devised.
At the head of this Eternal Kingdom, is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who
will rule and reign forever, and we as His Bride, with Him. So even though we
are witnesses to the increasing signs that this world is in its death throes (1
John 2:17), we should live each day with the understanding that we are simply
pilgrims passing through, and that one day soon, Christ, our Ark of Safety, will
return to take us to be where He is, before the world enters the time in which
Christ stated, would be the worst period in all of human history. (Matt. 24:21,
John 14:1-3, Rev. 3:10) At the end of those seven years...
And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which
shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it
shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand
forever. Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain
without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the
silver, and the gold-the great God has made known to the king what will come
to pass after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure." Daniel
2:44-45
Tisha B'Av - www.khouse.org
This weekend, Jews around the world commemorated Tisha b'Av or the ninth
day of the month of Av (July-August). It is the saddest day in the Jewish
calendar. It is a fast day that marks the anniversary of the destruction of the
First Temple by the Babylonians in 586 BC and the Second Temple by the
Romans in 70 AD. Tisha b'Av eventually became a symbol for all the
catastrophes that have befallen the Jewish people throughout its history.
Current events have fallen near this holiday that many Jews believe spell
another catastrophe for their People. They would put another name alongside
ancient Babylon and Rome: Iran.
One thing on Israel's horizon is the danger of nuclear weapons being built for
the purpose of destroying Israel. Iranian leaders before, during and after
consummating the new Iranian nuclear deal have said that destroying Israel is
their top priority. For the mullahs it surpasses both their economy and the war
in Iraq. The one constant in their rhetoric is the desire to destroy Israel. They
have dedicated an annual holiday (Quds Day) just to call for Israel's
destruction. Even while they were under international sanction, Iran made
sure they continued their payments to Hezbollah, Israel's mortal enemy.
Tisha b'Av
According to the Mishnah, Tisha b'Av was the date of several other disasters
for the Jewish people.
Five events befell the Jews on the Ninth of Av. "On the Ninth of Av, it was
decreed upon our ancestors that they would not be allowed to enter the Land
of Israel, the First and Second temples were destroyed, Beitar was captured,
The city of Jerusalem was plowed over." (Taan. 4:6) According to tradition,
Tisha b'Av was also the date of the expulsions of the Jews from England
(1290) and Spain (1492).
Tisha b'Av in the Talmud
The importance of Tisha b'Av as a fast day was emphasized in the Talmud,
which observes: "He who eats or drinks on the Ninth of Av must be considered
as guilty as one who has eaten on Yom Kippur" (Taan. 30b). The final meal
before the fast often consists of hard-boiled eggs and lentils, which are
customarily prepared for mourners, and some people used to even put ashes
in their food
Religious Practices
In addition to fasting, Tisha b'Av (known as the Black Fast), like Yom Kippur
(which is termed the White Fast), is observed by refraining from wearing
leather shoes, anointing with perfume, bathing, and sexual intercourse. If the
ninth day falls on the observance of the Sabbeth, Tisha b'Av is moved to the
next day, because no mourning is permitted on the Sabbath. From sunset to
sunset, the general rule in the Talmud is that a person is obliged to observe all
the mourning rites that apply in the case of the death of a next of kin (Taan.
30a). It is the only day when even the study of Torah is forbidden, since this
would be a source of joy. All one is permitted to study is the Book of Job and
the sections of Jeremiah and the Talmud that relate to destruction, especially
of Jerusalem.
In synagogue, the congregation sits on the floor, footstools, or low benches
(as would private mourners in their homes), reading by the light of candles or
dim lights as a symbol of the darkness that has befallen Israel on that day.
The curtain covering the ark is removed; in some Sephardic synagogues in
which the ark normally has no curtain, a black curtain is hung and the Torah
scrolls themselves are draped in black mantles. Certain congregations even
place the Torah scroll on the floor and strew ashes over it, while those in
attendance recite the words "the crown has fallen from our head" (Lam. 5:16).
The megillah of Lamentations (Eikhah) is recited in a haunting melody, with
the next-to-last verse repeated by everyone so that the book ends on the
hopeful note of "Take us back, O Lord, to Yourself, and let us come back;
renew our days as of old" (Lam. 5:21). (This same verse is the final line sung
as the ark is closed after the scroll has been returned to it following the Torah
reading.) The chanting of Lamentations is followed by the recitation of a series
of special piyyutim called kinot, medieval dirges that recount the destruction of
the Temple and the sins of the Jewish people. The prayer leader recites the
service in a monotonal and melancholy tune. Tallit and tefillin are not worn,
since the community is considered to be as mourners, who do not wear them
between the time of death of a loved one and the funeral; some sprinkle ashes
on their heads as a symbol of mourning. Congregants do not exchange
greetings upon entering or leaving the synagogue.
Work is not forbidden, though traditionally it is minimized as much as possible
in accordance with the observation of Rabbi Akiva that "anyone who does
work on the Ninth of Av will never see in his work any sign of blessing" (Taan.
30b).
Jewish Tradition
There is a Jewish tradition that the Messiah will be born on Tisha b'Av,
reversing the centuries of travail and suffering that have been the lot of the
Jewish people. Like the mystical phoenix rising from the ashes, ultimate
redemption will result from the depths of destruction and despair. An
expression of this surprisingly hopeful mood as the day progresses is the
custom of sweeping the house on the afternoon of Tisha b'Av in case the
Messiah should come. For a similar reason, women in some communities don
fine clothes and put on perfume. At the afternoon service, tallit and tefillin are
worn (both are usually worn during the morning service, with the exception
that the tallit is worn on Kol Nidre night), a sign that the mourning practices of
Tisha b'Av will end at sundown. The ark curtain and Torah mantles are
restored, the Torah is read again, and the full Kaddish is recited (including the
line requesting that God accept their pleas [titkabeil]). There is an additional
paragraph stressing comfort and looking hopefully to the future redemption.
After sundown and the breaking of the fast, some go outside for the joyful
service of Kiddush Levanah (Sanctification of the Moon).
The Sabbath immediately following Tisha b'Av is called Shabbat Nachamu
(Sabbath of Comfort). It takes its name from the opening Hebrew word of the
haftarah, "Comfort! Yes, comfort my people," says your God. (Isaiah 40:1,
ISV). This is the first of the seven "haftarot of consolation" (leading up to the
observance of Rosh Hashanah), which prophesy the redemption of Israel, its
restoration to the land, and the coming of the messianic days of peace and
justice.
Israel's Bigger Crisis
Israel's newest crisis in not its biggest one. It is the redefining of the
relationship between the United States and Israel.
The basic tenets in the U.S.-Israel relationship were two-fold.
1.There would be no surprises. Neither country would do or say something
regarding the Middle East without the other country knowing about it ahead of
time.
2.There would not be daylight between the two countries. Israel and America
could disagree-but never publicly.
There was a reason for this close cooperation.
Israel needs America's support. Israel has been called a "one-bomb country".
A single nuclear bomb would level the place. It needs the protection of the
United States to hold its enemies in check.
America also needs Israel's support as well. Israel has been the only constant
ally the United States has had in the region, and it is the region's only
democracy.
Since the beginning of the Obama Administration, the United States seems to
be trying to position itself as the Arab world's best friend. The current
administration has allowed daylight to filter in between the two countries by
publicly disagreeing with Israel's policies.
In 2009, during a meeting with Jewish leaders, President Obama said:
Look at the past eight years. During those eight years, there was no space
between us and Israel, and what did we get from that? When there is no
daylight, Israel just sits on the sidelines, and that erodes our credibility with the
Arab states.
Even more daylight has come between the two erstwhile close allies with the
Iran deal. The U.S. allowed this situation to happen. It was not just naivete in
negotiating skills, although that played a part. If the White House truly wanted
to minimize the possibility of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon, it would not
have given up concessions the way it did. It would not have communicated its
message that the military option is impossible. It would not have publicly
defended Iran's cheating on its existing promises.
Israel Alone
Israel is now between a diplomatic rock and a hard place. Israel is in an
alliance with a country that does not seem to have Israel in its list of priorities.
Also, the next generation of U.S. leaders being groomed do not seem to have
Israel as a priority either. They do not seem to recognize the cognitive
disconnect involved with accusing Israel of genocide while praising the actions
of Iran and Hamas.
As the United States looks more like Europe, Israel looks more alone. Many
believe that a prayer on Tisha B'Av is the most logical response to current
events.
The only thing missing from this analysis is the fact that Israel will never be
alone. Israel was fulfilling prophecy when it was regathered in the land in 1948
as a state for the first time in 2,000 years. Ultimately, Israel will recognize
Jesus as their Messiah and true protector:
I will pour out on the house of David and on the residents of Jerusalem a spirit
of grace and of supplications, and they will look to me-the one whom they
pierced." Then they will mourn for him, as for an only son. They will grieve
bitterly for him, as for a firstborn son.

The Endgame
Conflict in Israel has been a reality whenever Israel has existed as a nation. It
has always been persecuted by its neighbors. According to the Bible, it is
because God has a special plan for the nation of Israel, and Satan wants to
defeat that plan. Satanically influenced hatred of Israel-and especially Israel's
God-is the reason Israel's neighbors have always wanted to see Israel
destroyed. Whether it is Sennacherib, king of Assyria; Haman, official of
Persia; Hitler, leader of Nazi Germany; or the leadership of Iran, attempts to
completely destroy Israel will always fail.
The persecutors of Israel will come and go, but the persecution will remain
until the second coming of Christ.
Messianic Predictions Upon Jonathan Pollard's

"So Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they rushed him from the dungeon,
and he shaved and changed his clothes, and he [then] came to Pharaoh."
(Genesis 41:14)
Jonathan Pollard, convicted Israeli spy who has served 30 years in a US
federal prison for passing US military secrets to Israel, is set to be freed on
parole on November 20 of this year.
Pollard was incarcerated in 1985 and given a life sentence upon his conviction
in 1987. Many, including former CIA and FBI chiefs, consider his life sentence
to be excessive, especially when compared to others convicted for similar acts
of treason.
In the decades since his imprisonment, there have been numerous campaigns
to get Pollard released, including pleas from various Israeli government
officials. These campaigns were often based on concern for Pollard's declining
health, coupled with requests for justice, in releasing him from the extremely
harsh sentence he received in relation to the crimes committed.
One of the most prominent personalities who offered Pollard emotional and
spiritual support during his decades in prison was Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu.
Eliyahu served as a Chief Rabbi in Israel from 1983 to 1993 and had a close
and supportive relationship with Pollard for 20 years. Eliyahu passed away
June 7, 2010.
Shortly after Eliyahu's death, Pollard's then-wife Esther began to speak out
about the spiritual messages the rabbi shared with them. In an article
published by The Yeshiva World News on June 11, 2010, Esther shared
Eliyahu's prediction that the eventual release of Jonathan Pollard from prison
is connected to the final redemption.
"Over time, the Rav [Rabbi] shared with us and with a few others who were
very close to him that Jonathan's release is the key to the redemption of all of
Am Yisrael [the Jewish people]," she wrote.
"He taught us how Jonathan's release is also the key to the release of all of
Israel's captives and MIAs. Once Jonathan is out, all the captives are all out!
Once they are all out, we are all in Geula [redemption]!"
"Perhaps most significant of all, the Rav always referred to Jonathan as the
'Yosef HaTzadik shel doreinu' (The Yosef Hatzadik of our generation)," she
added.
This last reference connects Jonathan Pollard to the Biblical Joseph, who was
also imprisoned.
In August of 2010, Esther Pollard sent her husband a birthday letter which he
released for publication. In it, she strengthened her husband's spirits with the
words of the recently departed Rabbi Eliyahu.
"You are a cosmic key to the redemption of the Jewish people. Your release is
synonymous with the release of the Shechinah [the Divine presence] from
galut [exile]. Your release is tied up with the Moshiach Ben David's [Messiah
son of David's] return to the Land. Your release is bound to the redemption of
the land and people of Israel."
Some have suggested that the release of Pollard on the heels of the nuclear
deal with Iran is an attempt on the part of the US administration to soothe the
anger in Israel over the deal.
US Attorney General Loretta Lynch denied that the two are connected. "It
would have been extremely far-thinking of people 30 years ago to sentence
Mr. Pollard and set this mandatory release date to coincide with the Iran deal.
And if they were able to pull that off I would be quite impressed."
Jewish and Christian believers agree that the judges and lawyers involved in
the case 30 years ago could not have anticipated the confluence of events.
Only God could have created this timing.

Every day that passes seems to bring into focus that the conspiracy paranoia
might have at least an increased degree of credence. Retired General Wesley
Clark, the progressive Bill Clinton pal whose presidential aspiration star
exploded while on the rise some time ago because of sexual scandal, has just
thrown fuel on that fire of FEMA camp fears.
Clark said the other day during an interview on MSNBC: "If someone
supported Nazi Germany at the expense of the United States, we didn't say
that was freedom of speech, we put him in a camp, they were prisoners of
war."
He continued, "If these people are radicalized and they don't support the
United States and they are disloyal to the United States as a matter of
principle, fine. It's their right and it's our right and obligation to segregate them
from the normal community for the duration of the conflict."
This sure seems to diverge significantly from the usual liberal, I mean
progressive, course of ideological dogma. The call for such intolerant
measures from a lefty of Clark's sort was, I guess we are to presume,
generated by the latest murderous rampage in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in
which four military personnel died at the scene and another has died since
from his wounds.
The governmental, investigators have, apparently after much, much research
and soul searching, determined that the attack was a "terrorist" assault. For
days, the investigators, thus the White House propaganda minister--I mean
spokesman--couldn't say for certain the motive of Mohammad Youssuf
Abdulazeez, the gunman of the shootings.
Every other segment of America's populace knew immediately the motive,
upon hearing the gunman's name and who was murdered. But the White
House communications office personnel and mainstream media hadn't a clue.
This confusion was based, as always, on the need to not be too hasty--to not
jump to conclusions.
So now, General Clark--in the same ideological camp as the president--has
jumped to conclusions and wants concentration camps used. (I say "used"
instead of "built" in honor of the conspiracy theory-prone who are certain the
FEMA and other such incarceration facilities do exist and have existed for
quite some time.
There is a disconnect, it seems at first glance. But, is there, really? Well...I'll
have to delve just a bit into the conspiracy mindset to examine the seeming
glitch. The glitch or disconnect I mean is that we have an ideology here--the
general's and Mr. Obama's--that, in almost every instance of such murderous
assaults on America's military personnel--and within America itself at that-refuses to recognize that radical Islam is at the core of the hatred. Yet, now, it
is to be presumed, such an ideologue as Wesley Clark wants to put these
same Muslim-types in concentration camps. You see the disconnect...
But, the general didn't exactly say that, at least not in any forum I've read or
heard.
He said, again: "If these people are radicalized and they don't support the
United States and they are disloyal to the United States as a matter of
principle, fine. It's their right and it's our right and obligation to segregate them
from the normal community for the duration of the conflict."
And here is where I must entertain thoughts from the many people who have
emailed, or with whom I've spoken at conferences or elsewhere. These
continue to express fears that the government--at least as the executive
branch is currently constituted--is itching for the excuse to make use of the
FEMA camp incarceration facilities as soon as a crisis of sufficient magnitude
is ginned up in some "false-flag" event or occurrence.
These concerned American citizens holding mindset and ideology that is
much the opposite of the ideology the progressives of this administration is
foisting on them sense they are possibly facing a future exactly of the sort
Wesley Clark envisions. They fear they might, because they oppose the
tearing down of American morality and social structure by this government, be
considered "radicals," who are "disloyal to the United States as a matter of
principle."
These concerned citizens have legitimate reasons to question exactly who the
general means in framing his list of disloyal people. The elitists of Clark's and
the president's political party have made some rather disturbing remarks that
raise red flags.
Obama was caught in an uncharacteristic moment of loose language.
Referring to working-class voters in old industrial towns decimated by job
losses, the presidential hopeful said: "They get bitter, they cling to guns or
religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment
or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. (The Guardian,
"Obama Angers Midwest Voters over Guns and Religion Remark," Ed
Pilkington, April 14, 2008).
Here is another such expression of just who might be considered radical and
disloyal. The sentiment represents many such rants against those who hold to
America's conservative values.
Reporting from Washington - NPR is distancing itself from remarks made by a
fund-raising executive who said the American "tea party" movement is
comprised of "white, middle-America gun-toting" and "seriously racist, racist"
people. In the video, which can be seen on the Web, Schiller also says NPR
"would be better off in the long run without federal funding" and that that the
tea party is a movement that is "fanatically involved in people's lives,"
"fundamentalist Christian" and "xenophobic" and that it has "hijacked" the
Republican Party. (NPR "appalled' by Its Executives' 'Tea Party' Remarks in
Video," Los Angeles Times, James Oliphant, March 8, 2011)
After hearing these kinds of diatribes against middle America spewed by
Washington and East and West Coast elitist progressives, it seems it is
prudent at the very least to take notice when someone like a Wesley Clark
says he wants to place "radicals and those disloyal to America" in
concentration-type camps. Words and their definitions are quite important and
meaningful--even crucial--as this not-so-transparent Obama government has
used the language quite loosely in many, many ways.

A major crisis is shaping, particularly in the arena of national and global
economics. But, other developing crises are of equal concern to those who
fret over seeing the moral fiber of this once Judeo-Christian-based culture
dissolve almost minute by minute.
When the church--all born-again believers in Jesus Christ--leaves the earth's
troubled surface, there will be an instantaneous crisis of unprecedented
dimension created. God's prophetic Word foretells the ultimate proof that will
be required at that post-Rapture moment to demonstrate that one is not
"radical" or "disloyal" to the regime.
"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of
the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship
the image of the beast should be killed" (Revelation 13: 15).
There is comfort and assurance to be had in all of this. It is found only in
Jesus Christ. Make Him your refuge from the coming time of unrestrained
terror on this world that is ripe for judgment.

I don't know about you, but I'm in need of a little pep talk; I am literally sick
and tired of letting this world dictate my status and condition. If I listen to our
culture, or our national leadership, or our enemies at home and abroad, then I
may as well give up and pull the blankets over my head --- I'm already
defeated!
But I suggest to you that it's time to take our eyes off this world and realize
that what we see all around us is an illusion that evil is winning. We must stop
listening to who the world tells us we are, and become who we sometimes
casually refer to ourselves as ... true brothers and sisters in Christ. That's not
a cavalier statement, so please don't stop reading -- instead, stop and think
seriously about that identification. I know that it doesn't carry much weight in
this age of celebrity and technology. In fact it sounds like an old-fashioned
and irrelevant term; an archaic religious title that belongs to centuries long
past, and which offers no prestige in our superstar-obsessed society.
But I want you to take a couple of minutes and honestly contemplate these
questions I'm about to ask you. Don't rush through them, but allow the
significance of each to speak to your heart ... Do you believe that 'Jesus is the
Son of God' is a true statement? Do you accept Him as your Savior from the
penalty you deserve; that He died on the Cross as payment for your sins
(past, present, and future) so that you might live in eternity with Him and our
Father in Heaven? Do you believe that His resurrection has conquered
Satan's plan to destroy our relationship with our Creator by leading us to an
eternal Death? And finally, do you accept that you are a child of God -- a
chosen, adopted, and blessed co-heir with Christ; that you are destined to
inherit the Kingdom of God? If you can answer "yes" to those questions, and
can determinedly follow that train of thought, then it should be obvious that in
God's eyes, you are truly a brother or sister of Christ's.
Christ is the "begotten" son of God, meaning, in Hebrew, that He is from
the lineage of God; he has been "brought forth" by God. In the Greek, it
means that, as the Son of God, Jesus was the sole representative of the
Being and the character of the One who sent Him. As a child of God, and a
co-heir with Christ, you and I share that same lineage in our "rebirth"; and we
are the sole representatives of God/Jesus on this earth. That alone should
make us lift our heads high! So why do we feel so defeated in these
days? And believe me, I am as guilty as the next person of succumbing to the
lies that Satan and the spiritual realm are so clever at whispering in my most
vulnerable moments.
But I want to share a simple truth that my wonderful husband discovered in
his Spirit-inspired study of spiritual warfare. We are all familiar with the Armor
of God that Paul tells us to put on in Ephesians 6. And I am faithful to arm
myself each day with the Truth of God, my Salvation, the Peace of God, the
Righteousness of Christ, the shield of Faith, and the Word of the Lord. But for
the most part, I use each of these weapons as a defense against the
onslaught and advance of Satan in the world.
As the culture launches another aggressive act against my Christianity;
and the news media reports another heinous crime; or the economists
forecast a worldwide crash; and the terrorists are upping their rhetoric against
Israel and the US, I react in a defensive mode, wrapping myself in my armor,
fending off each new fear or threat with the weapons from God. Other than
the Word of God, which I can use to strike out against my attackers, I am
relying on defensive weapons to protect myself.
What my husband, Peace-Loving Warrior, showed me was that as the
sole representatives of God's kingdom on earth, we are obligated to go on the
offensive! Christ has already won the Victory! With His resurrection, Satan's
weapon of Death was defeated! And look at our battles from this perspective
... whoever won a war by being defensive or holding their ground? The army
that advances -- and goes on the offense -- is the one that gains new ground
against the enemy.
Right now, we Christians are feeling great oppression against our
faith. The Supreme Court has ruled against Biblical marriage; Christian
business owners are being sued for defending their faith; fellow Christians
around the world are being persecuted and murdered. In response, we
Christians are so worried about trying to keep Satan out of our world. But
what we should be doing is going on the offensive so that Satan has to worry
about keeping US out of his world!
How many of our thoughts run along this course: "I wonder where Satan
is going to strike us next?" Can you see how much better it would be if Satan
was kept off balance, wondering where Christians were going to attack
next? You see, Christ has already beat the Devil; the Enemy just doesn't
know it yet. It's right there in Colossians 2:15: [God] disarmed the
principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display
and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the
cross].
Can you see that Jesus won the victory on our behalf? That His victory
over the principalities and powers is our victory? We don't have to become
depressed and scared about what we see going on in the world, or the
future! Yes, it might become a bit (or maybe a lot!) uncomfortable for us for a
short time, but Jesus has given us His Authority to exercise an effective
campaign against the Enemy, who has only that short time left. Christ has
already won the eternal victory, but as our commander-in-chief, he has given
each of us an assignment: to make a bold display and public example of that
victory by how we live our lives ... representing His character and mercy and
declaring our conviction of His righteousness.
So the next time you are overwhelmed with sadness or fear or doubt, just
picture yourself in full armor, running headlong toward the retreating
enemy! Make a public declaration of your testimony -- even if it's only spoken
out loud in the privacy of your home (I promise you it will send the enemy in
full flight). Whenever you have the opportunity, go on the offensive -- shout
out a praise when you are driving in your car; pray Psalm 18:2-3 out loud; and
preach the Word to someone who needs it. You will find that Satan's spiritual
troops have left the battlefield in the face of your organized and forceful attack
on their territory.
Let's make a commitment to each other. From now on, no more
retreating! We've been given our marching orders and we cannot be
defeated. At the sight of our enemy, we will go on the offensive and storm the
gates of his strongholds. We can defend ourselves, when need be, with the
full armor of God, but we know that we have the additional weapons of
boldness and surprise in our arsenal. The Devil doesn't know who he's
messing with!

blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in
the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins
girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your
feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the
shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
However, the good news is that we are fighting a battle that already has been
won. It is critical that we understand the promises of God's in His written
Word. (I am not referring to taking God's Word out of context to suit our
wants..) I am of the conviction that the separation between tares and wheat
has begun. Now more then ever, we need to understand who we are in Christ.
1 Timothy 6:12-Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto
thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.
We MUST lay hold of eternal life. Upon being "Born-Again," we received
eternal life. Hallelujah! Now as we "sojourn" through this earth we have to
profess a good profession before others as the Scriptures tell us.
1 Chronicles 29:15--For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as
were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none
abiding.
More then ever we are now commanded to READ our Bibles and desire to
understand what God is trying to tell us. When we understood what we have
become through Christ it only compels one to eternally be grateful........
1 Peter 1:13-25-Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope
to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of
Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the
former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be
ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I
am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth
according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as
silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your
fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish
and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the
world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in
God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and
hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth
through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one
another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed,
but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For
all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass
withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord
endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto
you.
Notice how Peter describes what we have become as a result of the shed
blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins:
1 Peter 2:1-12--Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and
hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the
sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted
that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed
indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are
built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the
scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he
that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which
believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which
the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone
of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word,
being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. But ye are a chosen
generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye
should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into
his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the
people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly
lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the
Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your
good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Now let's talk about Spiritual Hygiene. Understand that our adversary's
primary weapon is deception and defeat:
John 8:44-Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his
own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 10:10- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I
am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
Although I cannot cover the complete scope of spiritual warfare and the study
of demonology, this can be considered a start. Let's identify some factors
which may make a person vulnerable to demonic activity:
2 Corinthians 2:11-Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not
ignorant of his devices.
1. Sins of the mind, where the individual does not retain control over his/her
thoughts: drug use, occultism, transcendental meditation, hypnosis,
uncontrolled anger.
2. Forms of idolatry: rebellion, arrogance, immorality, impurity, greed, gluttony.
1 Samuel 15:23a-For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is
as iniquity and idolatry.
Proverbs 16:18-Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a
fall.
Ephesians 5:5--For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person,
nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of
Christ and of God.
3. Attitudinal issues: excessive guilt and sorrow, pride, lack of sexual selfcontrol, lack of mental peace, deliberate disobedience to known truth, being,
idle, gossiping, breaking marriage vows.
Hebrews 13:4-Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but
whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
4. Voluntarily participating with demons or the spirit world in a non-Biblical
context.
How does one then deal with such issues??
1. Explicitly renounce any or all of the above before God Almighty.
1 John 1:9-If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2. Ask and believe that you have received the benefits of the completed works
of Jesus Christ on the cross on your behalf:
John 5:24-Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 8:31-32-Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye
continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:36-If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Revelation 1:5-And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that
loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood...
3. Put on the full armor of God...daily! Obviously you can't buy this at a
Christian bookstore, rather you do it by faith. Perhaps in another post, the
meaning of the armor of God will be explored. Each part is vital.
Ephesians 6:10-18--Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in

4. Decide to make a serious commitment to studying your Bible as the inerrant
Word of God.
Matthew 4:4-But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Romans 10:17-So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God.
5. Spend time with God in prayer. You have a 24 hour hotline that connects
straight to the Creator of this universe.
Psalm 50:15-And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and
thou shalt glorify me.
Psalm 86:5-For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in
mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Jeremiah 33:3-Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and
mighty things, which thou knowest not.
6. Seek out and participate in a fellowship of Christian believers in which the
teaching of the entire Bible (Genesis thru Revelation) is given priority and the
deity of Jesus Christ is not denied.
John 4:1-4-Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they
are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby
know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the
world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Hebrews 10:25-Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye
see the day approaching.
Be ready because the day is approaching.

Our friends at the venerable Judicial Watch (JW) have uncovered yet another
communist in close association with the "president." Remember when being a
communist was a threat to national security? Not anymore. We have
communists in the White House, communists in the Congress, and
communists in the news media. Now JW is releasing the results of an
investigation into the "president's" most trusted advisor, Valerie Jarrett. The
FBI files obtained by JW reveal that Jarrett was raised by devout communists
on both sides of her family. Jarrett's father, maternal grandfather, and fatherin-law were all "hardcore communists under investigation by the US
government."
JW reports: "Jarrett's dad, pathologist and geneticist Dr. James Bowman, had
extensive ties to Communist associations and individuals, his lengthy FBI file
shows. In 1950 Bowman was in communication with a paid Soviet agent
named Alfred Stern, who fled to Prague after getting charged with espionage.
Bowman was also a member of a Communist-sympathizing group called the
Association of Internes and Medical Students...an organization that "has long
been a faithful follower of the Communist Party line" and engages in unAmerican activities. Bowman was born in Washington DC and had deep ties
to Chicago, where he often collaborated with fellow Communists."
JW found that the Jarrett family Communist ties also include a business
partnership between Jarrett's maternal grandpa, Robert Rochon Taylor, and
Alfred Stern, a Soviet agent charged with espionage who was closely
associated with her dad. JW reports, "Jarrett's father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett,
was also another big-time Chicago Communist, according to separate FBI
filesobtained by JW as part of a probe into the Jarrett family's Communist ties.
For a period of time Vernon Jarrett appeared on the FBI's Security Index and
was considered a potential Communist saboteur who was to be arrested in the
event of a conflict with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)."
Why is all this so bad? The Iranian-born Jarrett, herself, has continued in her
family tradition. According to JW, she is tied to the Muslim Brotherhood,
closely associated with Communist Party member Frank Marshall Davis (the
"president's" mentor), associated with convicted Chicago real estate felon
(also the "president's" fundraiser) Antoin "Tony" Rezko, and played a major
role in covering up former Attorney General Eric Holder's "fast and furious"
gun running operation to Mexican drug lords. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4,
"Take heed that no man deceive you." Communism seeks to abolish all
religion and morals, making government the god of the people, and those who
lead communist government, demigods.

Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." John 15:15
We may look at the life of Moses in the Scriptures and say, "I wish I could
have been Moses. I wish I could have a friendship with God like he had."
But the friendship that a Christian can have with God is actually closer than
the friendship Moses had with God.
Although Moses was God's friend and was greatly used by Him in so many
ways, Moses lived under the Old Covenant. Under the Old Covenant, God
would manifest His presence in the tabernacle (and later in the temple), and
the high priest would represent the people.
God was distant, even to those who were His friends, like Abraham and
Moses. God revealed certain aspects of Himself to them, but He didn't live
inside of them.
The new covenant is different, however. Jesus died on the cross for us
because Jesus is our Mediator between the Father and us. We don't have to
go through a high priest or any other person. We go directly to the Father
through Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:19-20 puts it this way: "And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can
boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his
death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the
Most Holy Place."
Jesus said, "I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in
his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the
Father told me" (John 15:15). You are a friend of God.
We don't always understand Him, but He tells us to follow Him and obey Him
because He loves every one of us. This God showed His love in a tangible
way by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
