SUMMARY
The incumbent reports directly to the Contracts Manager for Goodwill Industries of
Lower South Carolina. Responsible for performing duties as Project Manager in training
to include each business line associated with the Commercial Services division. Assist
project manager with staffing needs and scheduling. Assist with developing quality
control program for each contract. Preparing various management reports, orders
supplies, preparing and tracking monthly invoices; develop and maintain an inventory
control system to safeguard agency assets. These duties will require working at night
and weekends
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Assist with developing and implementing budgets.
Functioning as back-up support in a supervisory role which may include functioning as
primary project manager during vacations or illness.
Respond to all customer complaints documenting how the complaint was addressed and
how to prevent reoccurrence. Report all complaints to the Contracts Manager within 24
hours.
Monitoring supplies and equipment for contract to ensure expenditures are within budget
restraints.
Assist with tracking monthly invoices of contract supplies to ensure the agency received
what they ordered and billing information is correct.
Back up to admin support for processing security clearances.
Assist with the recruitment and, when required, hiring of contracts personnel
Training of personnel to meet the requirements of the statement of work.
Assist project managers with resolving quality and productivity issues.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Contracts Manager in the supervision and/or training of Assistance Project
Managers and Lead workers.
QUALIFICATIONS
The incumbent must have excellent oral and written communication skills; leadership
and management skills: knowledge and skill in Microsoft WORD processing and EXCEL
spreadsheets, e-mail, and retrieving information from the internet; ability to conduct
training; ability to work with diverse populations; and an ability to perform basic
mathematical calculations. Knowledge of military command structure and federal
contracts is beneficial. Position demands ability to operate with minimum supervision,
appreciation for detail and the ability to understand the basic functions of co-workers and
to work as a member of a work team and experience in dealing effectively with
customers and fellow employees. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security
clearance as stipulated by the contract. Must have reliable transportation and a valid
SC’s driver’s license. Within 60 days of employment, must be able to obtain and
maintain a current Servsafe certification.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BS in business preferred, however 10 years of proven management in contract
management may be substituted for education. A combination of education and
experience will be considered.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able stand or walk for long periods of time, ambulate independently, bend, stoop
and balance. Lift a minimum of 50 pounds, have the ability to hear at normal levels, work
independently and perform under stressful situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment will very dependent on location.
