Call for Entries
Eligibility: The University of West Florida is sponsoring a national juried
exhibition exploring the art of paper. Entries are welcome in any medium, traditional
or experimental, on or of paper. Work must be ready to exhibit and cannot exceed
sixty inches in any dimension. The work must be original, completed within the last
two years, and not previously exhibited at the UWF Art Gallery. The Art Gallery
reserves the right to exclude any work that presents complex installation problems.
Entry fee: There is a non-refundable fee of $20. This fee entitles the artist to a
submission of up to three entries. All fees should be made out to the University of
West Florida Account Number 4020 029 31 and sent directly to:

Entry format: Entries will be juried from slides or high-resolution jpeg digital
files on CD.
Slides: Standard 2”x2” plastic or paper mount. No glass. Each slide should be
clearly labeled with artist name, title, media, size, year, and the top indicated.
Slides of non-accepted will be returned in SASE.
Electronic entries: Must be in jpeg format, 300 dpi resolution at 8x12 inches.
Submit on CD. Label CD with artist name and address. Name electronic files as
follows: lastname_titleofwork.jpg Abbreviate as necessary on electronic file name,
but be sure the entry form has complete information. CDs will not be returned.
UWF reserves the right to use images of any accepted work for publicity.
Insurance: UWF will insure all work from delivery until return shipment after the
exhibition. UWF and the UWF Art Gallery cannot assume responsibility for damage,
deterioration, or loss in transit.
Sale and Copyright: Sales are encouraged, however, arrangements will be made for
purchase directly from the artist. UWF receives no commission and will not collect
for sales or sales taxes.
Delivery and return of selected work: Upon receipt of acceptance notice, ship
accepted work by any mode, prepaid, to arrive at the UWF Art Gallery between January
26 and February 9, 2007 and must include repacking instructions and return label. UWF
Art Gallery will not pay return shipping costs. Arrange for return of work through
UPS by prepayment CALL TAG with clear return instructions, or send a check for return
shipping, made out to University of West Florida Account Number 4020 029 31. Packed
shipping weight must be clearly marked on all work for UPS return shipping. Shipped
work must be in reusable packing. All work shipped to UWF without prepaid return
postage will become UNCLAIMED at the close of the exhibition. UWF will not be
responsible for retaining any unclaimed work.
