Personal Profile
“Driving Healthy Distribution” is the vision statement of the Four Seasons Family of Companies and it’s also a
reflection of my passion to offer consumers a safe and healthy product through a distribution system second to
none. Fresh produce is not just a career for me. It’s a legacy that I was drawn into through my father who worked
in the industry for 42 years. I currently serve as the President and CEO of the Four Seasons Family of Companies. I
reside in Lititz, PA, with my wife Patricia. We are the proud parents of three grown children: Karen, John and
Susan. My personal hobbies include aviation and music.


2013: Nominated Chairman‐Elect of the United Fresh Produce Association Board of Directors; assuming
the Chairmanship in 2014

2012‐2013: Served as Chairman of the Wholesale Distributors Segment Board of the United Fresh
Produce Association

2010‐2012: Served as Vice Chairman of the Wholesale Distributors Segment Board of the United Fresh
Produce Association

2012: FSPI received the Ethics in Business Award presented by the Samaritan Counseling Center

2012: FSPI received the Produce Industry Advocate of the Year Award presented by the United Fresh
Produce Association

2011: FSPI received the Corporate Citizenship Award presented by the Central Penn Business Journal

2008: FSPI became first refrigerated warehouse in the U.S. to earn the Energy Star rating


2002: Led the development of our Core Values: Integrity, Dynamic Leadership, Exceptional Partnerships
and Winning Culture. These values have been embraced by associates at all levels of the organization and
have contributed to a business culture characterized by a high level of trust and confidence.

2004: Collaborated with the owner of our organization to lead the design, construction and transition
into a state‐of‐the‐art 260k square foot office and distribution center.

2006: Led the development and introduction of three operational and business subsidiaries: Sunrise
Transport, Inc., Sunrise Logistics, Inc. and Earth Source Trading, Inc. This business expansion serves to
maximize the profitability potential of our resources and expertise.

2012: Provided leadership for the development and introduction of Vision Statement: Driving Healthy
Distribution. This process provides a roadmap for the future growth of our organization as a family of
companies.
Vice President of Operations (1998 ‐ 2001)

In addition to leading the procurement function, assumed responsibility for warehouse and
transportation operations during a time of vigorous business growth.

Formed a team to analyze operational needs and select new warehouse management software system.
Director of Procurement (1994 – 1998)

Managed team of four buyers.

Transitioned procurement function from broker‐based to direct grower/shipper‐based procurement.

Collaborated with Information Technology team to develop a purchase order and inventory management
system.

Initiated introduction of on‐site packing operation.


Began career as a Merchandiser and promoted to Director of Produce Operations in 1988.

As Director of Produce Operations, led start‐up procurement operations and managed a team consisting
of one buyer, one quality control and two sales team members.

Oversaw design and development of off‐site facility which resulted in $30M in added annual sales
revenues.
