continuing with our trial changes to the start of the school day when we return.

...coming after the half term break!
Please encourage your child(ren) to take part in this worthwhile activity which reinforces the
importance of literacy and spelling. We will be celebrating best spellers, most improved
spellers, most sponsorship raised so there is a chance for every single child to shine. Please
see attached letter for more information.

Thank you to all parents, carers and staff who helped at last night’s Valentines disco
and made the event possible – a great time was had by all and we raised a fantastic
£116!
The PTFA would like to request permission to use photographs from last night’s event
to promote the PTFA’s fundraising activities at future new parent intake meetings, and
on the school website. Please inform the office if you do not wish photographs of your
child to be used.

DEFIBRILLATOR NEWS!!
We are very excited to announce that our school defibrillator has now been ordered!!
Staff training is to take place on Wednesday 26th February and the equipment will be delivered
shortly afterwards.
Thank you again to all parents and staff who donated money to the appeal (a special mention
once again to the Eddleston family for their very generous donation), and to all those who
attended our bag packing event at Tesco before Christmas. Our very own parent governor
Steven Fletcher also raised £290 by doing a sponsored ‘Movember’ event, so a massive well
done to Steven, what a great job!

One of the activities is our ‘Design a Bookmark’ competition, which children can work on during
