President’s report ● Welcome to Fneeq rep, the Executive Committee, the Bargaining Committee and the Delegates’ Council. ● Our Union has stability now by the signing the CA. ● Thanks particularly to Ahmad. Round of applause. 1 ● In an employee meeting, the Principal explained that the payment to the ex­principal was legitimate. Pres asked to meet the HR Committee who approved the payment next meeting. He also asked the administration, on behalf of EC, to make sure the seniority process is smooth. ● Pres introduced GO, BO, CMO, our translator ­ Jean Fabien Schneider and the Delegates’ Council. Financial report by BO ● Presentation of the financial report (March 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015) o

Dues undergo cycles, lowest in the summer, back up in September. Liberation – 14 courses. Affiliate dues that we sent to: CSN, Fneeq and CCMM. Rent expense includes property tax Mobilization expense includes meeting expenses. ● Motion to accept the financial report o Be It Resolved that the financial report presented by the Budget Officer be accepted by the General Assembly o Moved by BO. The report unanimously accepted. ● Motion concerning EC/BC workload Proposed by the Executive Committee Seconded by _____Jerome______________ o WHEREAS the BC has reached an agreement in principle on our first collective agreement with McGill and is working towards making a final copy of its text; and o WHEREAS a Special General Assembly has been called to ratify the collective agreement, for which a great deal of preparation is required; and 4 o

WHEREAS the BC and EC are working to prepare an English translation of the collective agreement; and WHEREAS an unexpected number of members are requiring information sessions about the CA that require a great deal of time; and WHEREAS the collective agreement outlines a labour­intensive procedure for seniority list building for our members that needs an extraordinary amount of time and expertise; and WHEREAS a committee is to be formed comprising Union and McGill representatives to verify all seniority data; and WHEREAS the Union needs to be fully involved in the application of our first collective agreement, which requires extensive time allocation from EC members; and WHEREAS EC/BC members are capped at a certain number of hours for work that will not cover these extraordinary additional hours; BE IT RESOLVED that the Executive Committee on behalf of the General Assembly (GA) allow the EC/BC members to work beyond their allocated hours; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Committee on behalf of the General Assembly approve these extra hours for payment purposes; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these extra hours may not exceed the FNEEQ­CSN standard of executive liberation; and o BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this decision of the Executive Committee shall be presented to a GA at which the annual budget will be presented. ● Q and A: Q by Rick: what are the maximum working hours set? : ● Congratulations on the CA being deposited. ● From Oct 30 to Feb 27 is the seniority period. 30 days for McGill to post your seniority from Sep 2011 to Sep 2015. Once it is up, check it. 39 hrs=1point. 1student=0.5 point. 3­credit course=1point. ● Build up your points: on Excel template. ● What you need to submit along with the Excel sheet: ➢ Ask your departmental secretary; take pictures of the contracts from the employee file. Exam marks sheet can be a proof. Google the particular course. ➢ In Minerva, go to Employment confirmation letters, then Employment History. ➢ Or Salary History for the points calculated from the salary rate. ➢ Under Faculty Menu, choose Verify Course Sections, print them term by term.
