YORK TRIP 2009: Due to lack of response from last year's York trippers, the Parents Night timetabled
for Thursday evening, 19th. November, is now cancelled. Sorry to those who had already responded.

UPPER SCHOOL FORUM MEETING: Would all upper School Forum reps please attend a meeting Tuesday
24th November period 2 in the seminar room. Miss Foreman
U16 HOCKEY: Match against Selkirk Saturday 28th November at Home. The following pupils must
attend training Friday lunchtime: If you are unable to attend you must see Miss Foreman.
SENIOR HOCKEY (S4-6): A reminder that there is NO hockey training tonight after school. Training will
continue on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes as normal. Mrs Morrison
S1 AND S2 MIXED HOCKEY: A reminder that the above sessions continue on Thursday 3.45-5pm on the
astro. Bring lots of warm clothes. All welcome. Mrs Morrison
STOCK-MARKET CHALLENGE: Reminder to those S3 students attending the Stock Market Challenge this
Thursday - Please meet Mr Walker in the school reception area at 8.25am, ready for an 8.30am
getaway. School uniform please! Mr Walker & Mr Armstrong.
COLLEGE COURSES: Please note the following courses are running this week:
Tuesday – The Galashiels college courses and the Berwickshire Housing Association course are on
Thursday – The Galashiels college courses are on.
Note – there is no Land Based, no Microsoft Academy and no Berwick Construction this week. If your
course is NOT running on Wednesday afternoon you MUST remember to bring in your kit for PE. Mr

S1 - S3 FORM TEACHERS : Please remind Forum Reps about HYPPE Meeting on Thursday 19th November

S4 SOC ED CLASS DISPLACEMENTS: Due to French listening exams period 6 today, Miss Foreman’s Soc
Ed class will be in Biology 3 and Mr Fleming’s Soc Ed class will be in Chemistry 2.
HPV VACCINATIONS: HPV Vaccinations will take place on Thurs 26 November. Please seen lists on the
Health Clinic noticeboard for your appointment time. The German exams are taking place on that day
and if you cannot attend your appointment please just pop in and see Mrs Fowles who will arrange
another time with you.
CARD MAKING GROUP: today, Home Ec 2, 1.00pm. Bring your lunch and 50p. Making Christmas Cards.
New participants welcome. There is a display showing various card making techniques in the HE

FOOTBALL COACHING COURSE: "A Football Level 1 Coaching Course is being held in Eyemouth High
School on Friday 27th November, between 5pm - 9.30pm. This opportunity is open to all pupils aged

S3 DUKE OF EDINBURGH - could everyone in the Bronze group please complete and hand in the

STAMP COLLECTION - Staff and Pupils - please bring in any used stamps to Ms Scott. I am collecting for
The South of Scotland Wildlife Hospital who will turn them into cash. You should leave a 1cm rim
around the stamp if possible. There is a folder in the staffroom. Thanks, Ms Scott
SWIMMING POOL DANCE: Change of Date- The date of the next Swimming Pool dance has been
changed to Friday 27 November. Tickets will be on sale in due course.
S1 FOOTBALL
S1 Football continues every Tuesday lunchtime on the Astro pitch from 1.15pm until 1.50pm with Mr
McKinnon. Fixtures have been arranged now with home and away games versus Eyemouth HS and Kelso
HS. For further information please see Mr Gracey.
CRICKET CLUB: Cricket Nets will begin again this Tuesday lunchtime with myself and Neil Cameron the
Borders Cricket Development Officer. All past members, girls and boys should attend for an outline of
this year's programme. Also this year, there will be an opportunity for S5 and S6 pupils to take part in a
Level 1 Coaching Course. All new members are very welcome! Mr Gracey.
FITNESS CLUB
A reminder that the Fitness Suite is open to all S1 - S6 girls and boys, every Tuesday lunchtime.

GIRLS CHOIR: Rehearsal tomorrow at 1.20 in Music 1. Mr Mabon
STOCKING FILLERS STALL IS BACK! Come visit us Friday 20th November at break and lunchtime
just outside the Office. We will be selling soaps, shower gels, and other goodies! All money raised will go
