Book Week Scotland Staff Shelfies: Another two have been added. One full of books about sailing and
one which has a windmill beside the books. Complete an entry form on the library desk to try and win a
prize.
Inter-House Quiz Tomorrow: Please support your houses in the Inter-house Battle of the Books Quiz
tomorrow. And the staff team needs some support and encouragement too. All at 1pm in the library.

Children in Need 2015 - Cycling Team: Could all pupils intending to participate in this challenge please
attend a meeting in G35 at 1.15pm today, Thursday? (FMcF)
The Steamie - School Production: Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from Mr Morrison in
G41 from 1.10 - 1.30pm daily. £8/£6. Please get your tickets asap to avoid disappointment. (AO-L)
Farmers’ Market: The Farmers’ Market will be taking place on Friday 5 December in the Hall from 10am 2.30pm. All pupils will have an allocated time slot to visit the market. Stalls will include Jams, truffles, ice
cream, cupcakes, crafts, hot chocolate and many more! The School band will also be playing at various time
slots. Please come along and enjoy the market. (HE department)
Scotland vs Ireland Rugby at Murrayfield: Would anyone interested in going to see Scotland play Ireland
on Saturday 21 March 2015 please see Mr Kelly in G13 as soon as possible. No money is needed just now.

Mrs Lee (Art) – S3 Parents’ Evening: Unfortunately Mrs Lee will not be at tonight’s parents’ evening.
Mrs Lee’s appointments will now be taken by Mrs Templeton except for Allan Higgins, Caitlin Stanley and
Dawn Christie. Can those pupils please see Mrs Templeton today. Thank you. (KT)
S1-S3 Girls Football: On Thursday 4 December there will be a 7 aside Girls "Soccer One Tournament" at
Gordonstoun High School. If you are interested please meet at interval outside the PE base on Friday 28

Origami club and Junior Maths Club: There will be no clubs at lunchtime or after school this week, normal
service resumes next Thursday. (FMcF)
S3 English Premier League Trip: There are still a few places available for the Premier League trip to
Manchester and Newcastle. The trip involves a ticket for a Premier League football match, stadium
tours, elite level football coaching, media training, laser quest and much more! If you would like more
information and collect a consent form, contact Mr McAvinue. For the people who collected a consent
form, remember the deadline for deposit is Tuesday 9 December. Thanks (PM)
S1-S3 Xmas Craft Club: This Friday lunchtime in G27. Limited spaces available so please sign up in G27
asap to guarantee a space. Cost this week is £1.50, bring your lunch with you. (NB)
Hockey Club: Hockey Club is cancelled this Thursday due to S3 Parents’ Evening. It will be back on

S5 – Johnston’s of Elgin School Challenge: All pupils involved in the Johnston's of Elgin school challenge
on Friday 28th must attend a brief but important meeting in the guidance department on Thursday lunch time
at 1.15pm. Attendance is essential. (LB)
Senior Football: Game v Lossiemouth at home on Saturday morning with a 9.30am KICK OFF. Can all
players notify Mr Baker urgently of ability to play as we are looking short for Saturday morning! Thanks (MB)
S5/6 Art & Design SQA Folios: The National 5 / Intermediate / Higher folios have now returned from the
SQA. Anyone who ordered their folios back can collect them from Mrs Templeton (Rm B30) anytime.
Fundraising Committee – Thursday 27 November: Meeting in Miss Newbould’s room (B21) at 1:15pm.
Fundraising Committee – Monday 1 December: Meeting in Miss Cameron’s room (B18) at 1:15pm.
S6 Autism Awareness Lunchtime ‘Chat’: The two lunchtime sessions have been postponed and will now
run on Monday/Tuesday next week. Sessions are informal and offer S6 students an opportunity to gain
knowledge about autism.
