Linda.
I go everywhere by bicycle. I go to
work on my bike, visit my friends
on my bike and even do my
shopping on my bike. I put all my
groceries into my rucksack and
carry them on my back. I love
riding, even in the city. I keeps me
fit and I love feeling the wind in my
hair.
I love flying. The first time I went
in a plane was when I was a young
girl and the family went to Spain. It
was amazing to be so high up
looking down at the land below us.
Travelling by bike is very cheap, I
don't need a license, insurance or
any petrol. I can get through the
traffic quicker than a car or even a
motorbike. The only problem is the
fumes from vehicle exhaust pipes,
it can really irritate your lungs. So,
when I'm cycling in the city I usually
wear a face mask so I don't breathe
in all the smoke.
When I was twenty -one is started
having flying lessons at a small
airfield near our house. I learned to
fly a small two-seater plane and got
my pilot's license when I was
twenty-three.
Now I fly commercial airplanes all
over the world. At the moment I'm
a pilot for Virgin airlines and I'm
flying from Heathrow in London to
New York twice a week. I love it.

fourteen and I used to drive around
in my brother's truck.
I've been riding horses since I was a
little girl and I honestly can't
remember when I learned. I think
I've always known how to ride.
When I was little, my family lived in
America and we had a big farm
called a ranch. My dad used to ride
horses around and I used to follow
him.
When I came to the UK I got a
provisional license and passed my
theory test, it was quite difficult
because my English wasn't really
good at the time. Then I did my
practical test, which was really
When I came to live in the UK I
found that pretty much no one
rides horses. You can't have a horse
in the city. I got a job in an office
and I didn't ride for a long time
until someone asked me if I wanted
easy. I like driving and I love cars.
At the moment I'm driving a
2007 Audi TT, it's a beautiful car.
to come on a riding holiday in
Scotland. It was brilliant.
Now I have two horses. They live in
stables a few miles from my house.
I ride every chance I can, at the
weekend or in the evening.
