The Roman Gods.
The Romans believed that their gods were the grandchildren and
great grandchildren of Uranus and Gaea. Uranus and Gaea were
married to each other. They had a son and a daughter. They were
called Cronus and Rhea.
Cronus and Rhea were married to each other and they had six
children. Three of the children were boys and three of them were
girls. One of their daughters was called Juno. She was married to
one of her brothers called Jupiter. Juno’s two sisters were called
Vesta and Ceres. Juno and Jupiter’s brothers were called Neptune
and Dis.
Juno and Jupiter had two children. They were boys who were called
Vulcan and Mars. Vulcan had a daughter who was called Venus.
Jupiter also had some other children who were gods. Two of them
were female. One was called Diana and the other was called Minerva.
His three male children were called Apollo, Mercury and Bacchus.
