FOT Version 4.1: Changes from version 4.0.1 20100328 GENERAL 2.1.2.5 Points and lines within surfaces. If the rules governing “within” collide when an object lies within two surfaces the rules for which are not identical, the following applies: The object should preferably lie within both surfaces in this situation. Insert: Where two or more surface objects lie on top of each other, and the surface rules for “within” are not identical for a given object, the object may legally lie within all surfaces in this situation if it is legal to lie within at least one of the surfaces. OBJECT TYPES and ATTRIBUTE TYPES BUILDING: The attribute BBR_REFERENCE has been removed. The RAILWAY attribute Owner_Railway may only assume the following fixed values: o Rail Net Denmark o DSB o Private railway o Other o Unknown o Not allocated The TRAIN HALT attribute Owner_Train halt has the same values. PROTECTED_HISTORICAL AREA: The attribute PARAGRAPH4_FFO has been removed. PROTECTED_HISTORICAL POINT: The attribute PARAGRAPH4_FFP has been removed. BUILDINGS BUILDING: Buildings without vertical sides are registered by their largest footprint. The following text is inserted on page 3.1.1.5: Buildings without vertical walls are registered using their largest area, and the level is registered in the same place. Insertion of new illustrations. Side 1 af 13 Side 2 af 13 TRAFFIC ROAD CENTRE LINE. ROAD CENTRE LINE is not registered for a sports track In the Table on page 3.3.1.9 the text “Riding tracks on open fields are not registered” is replaced with: Sports tracks such as running tracks at athletics facilities, motor racing circuits, go-cart tracks, BMX tracks, riding tracks, or horse race courses are not registered. ROAD CENTRE LINE. New rules for registering path centre lines alongside roads to ensure more uniform registration. Change of text on page 3.3.1.10: “ROAD CENTRE LINE along a road is only registered if ROAD CENTRE LINE has its own route” is changed to: ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path is only registered if the path runs independently of a ROAD CENTRE LINE-Road or where it is separated from the carriageway by a curb or a verge along the route. Where a bicycle path along a road is only separated from the carriageway by a road marking, no ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path is registered unless the road marking is to guide the cyclists round a roundabout, across an intersection, or is a warning to motorists that cyclists cross there at an intersection. Side 3 af 13 Where a ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path crosses a road and the route is not marked by a road marking, the ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path is nevertheless registered across the road. Under ROAD CLASS on page 3.3.1.12, the meaning of “Main path” has been changed from: Path for pedestrians, cyclists and/or mounted traffic. To: Path that runs independently of a ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path or, where it runs alongside a road, is separated from the carriageway by a verge. For “Bicycle path alongside a road” part of the meaning is changed from: Areas primarily for bicycle traffic alongside roads. To: Path that runs alongside a road only separated from the carriageway by a curb or at intersections/roundabouts by road markings. Primarily for bicycle traffic. Insertion of the following text under Upgrading: At upgrading from FOT 4.0.1 The rules for allocation of attribute values to ROAD CENTRE LINE-Road class have been changed. There are now more attributes with the value “Main path” alongside roads rather than attributes with the value “Bicycle path alongside road” Insertion of new illustrations. Dead-end paths or paths without connection to other ROAD CENTRE LINE are not registered. RED=ROAD CENTRE LINE-Road YELLOW=ROAD CENTRE LINE-Path ROAD EDGE. ROAD EDGE is not registered for a sports track. Text on page 3.3.4.2 is supplemented with: Sports tracks such as running tracks at athletics facilities, motor racing circuits, go-cart tracks, BMX tracks, riding tracks, or horse race courses are not registered. ROAD EDGE. Due to the changes under ROAD CENTRE LINE affecting “Main path” and “Bicycle path” some changes occur under ROAD EDGE. Change of text on page 3.3.4.6 under TYPE=Bicycle path: ROAD EDGE TYPE=Bicycle path cannot have SURFACE_ROAD EDGE=Unmetalled ROAD EDGE is registered for metalled bicycle path alongside a road. Only the bicycle path delimitations bicycle path/verge and bicycle path/pavement are registered as this object. The carriageway/bicycle path delimitation is registered as TYPE=Thoroughfare or TYPE =Internal road, as THOROUGHFARE and INTERNAL ROAD have higher priority. Most bicycle paths within urban areas will thus be registered by a single line, unless there is a dividing reservation between the carriageway and the bicycle path. BICYCLE PATH is not registered if it is solely delimited by painted stripes. Side 9 af 13 BICYCLE PATH is only led over a side road if there is a change in surface or there is a physical bicycle path edge. To: ROAD EDGE TYPE=Bicycle path cannot have SURFACE_ROAD EDGE=Unmetalled. ROAD EDGE is registered for metalled bicycle path alongside a road. Only the bicycle path delimitation between the bicycle path and pavement is Bicycle path. The carriageway/bicycle path delimitation is registered as Thoroughfare or Internal road as these have higher priority. Bicycle path is not registered at the edge of painted stripes or painted symbols. Bicycle path is only led over a side road if there is a change in surface or there is a physical bicycle path edge. Changes on page 3.3.4.7 to “4. Distance to road” from: Main path does not run alongside a road, whilst Cycle path can run alongside a road with up to 2 metres distance from the roadside. To: Main path does not run alongside a road, or is separated from this by a verge. Bicycle path has a common edge with the road. The following text is inserted under Upgrading: At upgrading from FOT 4.0.1 The rules for ROAD CENTRE LINE-Road class have been changed so that there are now more objects alongside roads with the attribute value “Main path”. Therefore, more ROAD EDGE objects must be registered along these within the AREA POLYGON with AREA TYPE=1. The scope of ROAD EDGE on an agricultural property is slightly unclear. Page 3.3.4.5 states that “Internal road” is registered, but page 3.3.4.6 states that “Access road” or “Other road” is registered. This is corrected on page 3.3.4.5 by deleting “farm” so that the sentence now reads: Roads with a length > 20 metres in internal areas with housing blocks, institutions, industrial estates, airports, churchyards etc. And on page 3.3.4.6 “farm” is deleteted so that the sentence now reads: Unmetalled roads with a length of > 20 metres on internal areas, e.g. parks, churchyards, allotment garden areas and industrial estates. Under Examples there is inserted a link to the examples under ROAD CENTRE LINE and the following three illustrations are inserted: BLACK=ROAD EDGE-Thoroughfare RED=ROAD EDGE-Driveway PINK=ROAD EDGE-Other road Side 10 af 13 TECHNICAL Side 11 af 13 STRUCTURE Registration of platform edges as STRUCTURE is inserted on page 3.4.8.1, so that the sentence now reads: Edges of bridges, pump stations, supporting walls, statue pedestals, large installation cabinets, fountains, ruins, platform edges, foundations of buildings under construction, and the like. PARKING Insertion of two new illustrations: Side 12 af 13 NATURE FENCE Insertion on page 3.5.7.2: The minimum length is the length of a FENCE object which does not have a topological connection with other fences.
