Federal Program Appropriations

Section 1. Introduction
Purpose of the Report
The report displays the carry forward, adjustments to appropriation, total appropriation, expenditures, and
continued appropriation for federal programs. The report can be sorted and subtotaled by chartfield. User
can specify a Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number or a range of CFDA numbers. The
report can be run in both PDF and CSV (MS Excel) format.
The report is used to monitor and review budgetary activity for federal grants. It can be used as a tool to
validate data against other General Ledger reports (e.g. Trial Balance, Expenditure Detail, and GL
Activity).
 USER MUST SPECIFY BUDGET PERIOD VALUE IN THE REPORT

General Notes:


Select an existing Run Control ID or enter a new one
For reports that are run on a regular basis, user should select a Run Control ID naming
convention that can be easily identified (e.g., Fed_Approp_SEFA)
An asterisk * preceding the field name indicates input is required

General Notes:


Page allows users to specify chartfield combinations to display on the report
Budget Period must be specified and the “Value” and “To Value” must be the same value
(e.g., 2008 and 2008). If specified, fund value must be a federal fund (e.g., 12060, 12062)
Either CFDA or Department values must be specified
An asterisk * preceding the field name indicates input is required
