information about your program in order for her to put this draft together and send back
to you and the Program Director for approval.
REMINDER ~ Paperwork required for all outside Rotators
The new form introduced at the September 21, 2006, meeting, “The Children’s Mercy
Hospital Resident/Fellow Information Form,” must be completed by all rotating residents
and fellows, excluding those who rotate from KU. The agreement CMH and KU have is
that they will provide a copy of the rotators KU GME Application, Missouri license,
BNDD, and occupational health report on vaccinations.
All documents for rotators must be provided to the GME Office prior to the
resident/fellow arriving at CMH. Supporting documents include, but are not limited to, a
copy of the residents/fellows Missouri Medical License, BNDD, TB results and ECFMG

New Innovations Training Dates
New software to track resident, fellows, rotators, and medical students is in the final
stages of implementation and training is scheduled for February 20, 21, & 22, 2007 at
Hallmark building from 8:30am to 5:00pm. All Program Coordinators are required to

to transportation to the Hallmark building ever 15 minutes from the main entrance of the
hospital.
All Program Directors are encouraged to attend the 2nd day of training for the evaluations

station and computer due to limited space availability.
Contracts & Information for New Fellows
The GME Office has revamped the Housestaff Agreements (contracts) for fellowships.
They are now called Fellow Agreements (contracts) and include the 20 ACGME
requirements. The GME Office has also developed a standard benefits page for all
fellows that will be included in the new fellow packets sent out by the GME Office. If
your program has supplemental (additional) benefits, an explanation must be attached to
the Fellow Agreement. Kerrie will incorporate any additions into the benefits
attachment.
The GME Office started sending out packets to all new fellows who are starting their
fellowship on or after July 1, 2007. Please send copy of the initial acceptance letter to
Kerrie Jordan in the GME Office. Once she receives this letter, she will send out the
packet of information to the new fellow. The welcome packet includes a welcome letter,
Contract, Missouri License application, DEA Application, BNDD Application, contract,
and HR paperwork. All materials will be returned to the GME Office.
New Fellow Orientation
New Fellow Orientation is scheduled for July 2nd & 3rd, 2007. The contents of the
orientation will be the same as last year. Logistics for orientation are being finalized
within the next few months. When the orientation agenda is finalized, it will be shared
with all Program Coordinators.
