SCHEDULE OF CLASSES
Judge: Dylan Rees (Blue Stone Herd)
Rosettes will be awarded to animals standing
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th in each class and a
Championship Sash will be awarded to the
Overall Champion.
PRIZE MONEY: 1st - £20; 2nd - £15; 3rd - £10; 4th - £5
All prize money will be paid in cash

Class 1
Male Calf born between 01/10/11 and 31/01/12
Class 2
Male Calf born between 01/02/12 and 31/05/12
Class 3
Male Calf born between 01/06/12 and 30/09/12
Class 4
Female Calf born between 01/10/11 and 31/01/12
Class 5
Female Calf born between 01/02/12 and 31/05/12
Class 6
Female Calf born between 01/06/12 and 30/09/12
Class 7
Young Handler (aged 16 and under).
Class 8
Progeny Group
(2 Animals by the same sire but out of different dams)
All pedigree registered British Blue bulls and females must
be entered and registered in the herd book of the British
Blue cattle society, and is open to all members of the
society.
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS
OVERALL CHAMPION CALF
The champion calf will be awarded £150 cash award and the
David Dickinson Memorial Trophy, Special Rosette and Sash
RESERVE OVERALL CHAMPION CALF
The reserve champion calf will be awarded £75 cash award and the
Ryder Farming Perpetual Trophy and Special Rosette
Best animal opposite sex to the champion
The best animal opposite sex to the champion will be awarded the
Bellas Perpetual Trophy and special rosette
Breeder points
The breeder with the most points will be awarded a
Plaque from Norbreck Genetics
-------------------------CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

ENTRY FEES - the entry fee of £15 per animal
MUST BE SUBMITTED, with all entries, otherwise the entry will be refused. Calves
entered for classes ‘7 & 8’ are free if entered in classes 1-6. ENTRY FEES ARE
NON-REFUNDABLE.

All cheques to be made payable to the Border British Blue Club must
be submitted with the entry form and returned to: Claire Pattinson, (Secretary) Border British Blue Club,
Kinkry Hill Farm, Roadhead, Carlisle, Cumbria CA6 6NG

The show is open to all members of the British Blue
Cattle Society.

The show is open to all UK born Pedigree Registered
calves born on or after 1 October 2011. No animal(s) will be accepted for entry if they do
not have a British Herd Book Number.

 The classification will be decided and sub-divided into appropriate age groups after the
entries have closed.

All cattle must be penned on Thursday 1 November. The show will
commence at approximately 11.30am on Friday 2 November.

A limited amount of straw will be provided. Any further requirements must be
brought by the exhibitor.

All cattle must be adequately trained to lead by halter.
 IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ACCOMPANY ANIMALS TO
THE SHOW PREMISES AND ARE HANDED TO THE AUCTIONEERS UPON THE ARRIVAL TO
THE MARKET - DECLARATION FORM, (subject to DEFRA regulations), together with the
necessary cattle passport documentation
