Optimatm Max and Max-E Ultracentrifuge (6.0.13)
First time you use the centrifuge you must have personal instructions!!!!!
User instructions:
1. Prepare your sample(s) in the centrifuge tube(s) that fit the rotor in the
centrifuge.
2. If you have an unequal number of samples make an extra tube with water.
3. It is important that you make them weigh exactly the same.
4. Place the two tubes opposite of each other in the rotor.
5. You must place the tubes in the rotor before you put the rotor in the
centrifuge. ( Rotor can be found in the fridge in lab 6.0.19)
6. If you have more samples you repeat no. 3 and 4 until you have all your
samples in the rotor.
7. VERY IMPORTANT: The samples must be placed two by two opposite of
each other to keep the rotor balanced when running.
8. Place the lid on the rotor.
9. Turn on the power on the front.
10. Open the centrifuge lid and place the rotor in the centrifuge, then push
down the little knob to attach it.
11. Close the centrifuge lid.
12. Set the temperature that you wish to run at (Normally set to 4C), press
enter.
13. Set the speed that you wish to run at, press enter.
14. Set the time, press enter.
15. Push the start button and stay until the centrifuge has reached at least
half speed.
16. After use take out the rotor, Put it back in the fridge,
17. Close the centrifuge lid and turn off the centrifuge.
18. If there is an error, look in the instructions manual for solutions (the manual
is in the drawer under the centrifuge).
