Sales Representative Water Treatment
We are seeking representatives for existing territories throughout New York State. M.I.S. of America
is a leading supplier of industrial water treatment products for commercial and industrial boilers and
cooling water systems. In addition, we also carry an extensive line of replacement parts for HVAC
systems such as boiler gaskets, water softeners, pump and trap rebuild kits, filtration systems, test
equipment, and controllers. With over 40 years of experience and an excellent reputation in the field,
we have been the leader in bringing new technology to New York and Pennsylvania. This reputation
is the result of our quality product lines and the support our employees provide after the sale.
Duties and responsibilities:









Visit existing customers on a monthly basis to analyze the water treatment program and to
make recommendations
Respond to customer problems and provide solutions
Continued prospecting to develop new accounts
Introduce existing customers and prospects to new products and new technology
Survey prospect accounts and assist in the preparation of proposals
Demonstrate the ability to be an aggressive, self-starter
Plan and maintain an organized weekly and monthly schedule of prospects, appointments,
and service calls.
Active and required participation in bi-monthly sales team meetings at the company
headquarters in Lancaster, NY
Must be able to maintain monthly goals reviewed by sales manager
Education and/or Experience:
We require a minimum high school diploma and basic computer skills. We are looking for people
with industrial, direct sales experience. The ability to solicit and develop prospects as well as the
expertise to close the sale are required skills for this position. A self-motivated personality with good
communication and organizational qualities are a must. Knowledge of HVAC systems and/or water
treatment is preferred. However, we will provide an extensive training program for the right
person. In addition, there is continued support from our sales manager and office staff. This is a

Salary:
These territories have an established customer base with the opportunity to earn $50K the first year.
