A. Job Summary:
As a key member of our sales team, the Sales Assistant will provide active support to the sales team
through direct contact with prospective clients and giving leadership to the administrative activities leading
to increased sales productivity. The three primary areas of responsibility are:
a. The preparation of and presentation of prospect information, proposals and reports.
b. Direct interaction with prospects.
c.
Oversight of the Sales department support materials.
d. Conduit for information and connectivity with the marketing department.
B. Essential Functions
a. Preparation
i.
Prepare materials for sales conversations.
ii.
Prepare written responses and status information of prospects using
predetermined templates and outlines.
iii.
Prepare final sales proposal for review.
iv.
Prepare reports on follow up status of prospects.
b. Interact directly with Prospects
i.
Make sure the sales team calendars are full of priority prospect appointments.
ii.
Set appointments as required.
iii.
Initial interview with qualified leads.
iv.
Respond to incoming call: Stage 1 and Stage 2 inquiries.
v.
Respond to Stage 3 prospect questions.
c. Oversight
i.
Know the usage and application of all sales support materials.
ii.
Organize all sales support materials for ease of use and application.
i.
Be current on all upcoming marketing campaigns and how they will impact sales
d. Conduit
activities and priorities.
ii.
Support the transition of prospect to the Implementation team.
iii.
Communications with the Marketing team of needed support or activity.
C. Organization, Reporting & Relationship
a. Person reports to the Director of Retirement Plan Consulting.
D. Position Requirements:
a. A High School diploma or GED equivalent. A college education is preferred.
b. 2-4 years’ experience in sales or sales support activity; preferably in a service industry.

Understanding of Financial Markets is an advantage
Working knowledge and comfort with contemporary technology including Microsoft Windows,
Excel and Word along with some CRM and/or data base familiarity.
d. The ability to consistently follow documented standard operating procedures.

Position Type: Full-time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Type: Hourly
Benefits: Eligible upon completion of first 60 days of employment
Pay Scale: Commensurate with experience plus potential growth
