Pra Baat Phu Pan Kham is located in Ubol Ratana District. It is a
temple where they keep the imitated Bhuddha’s Footprint in the
Mondop. There is a 14 meters tall of white image Bhuddha on the top
of the mountain. It is 1,049 steps to reach all the scenic panorama of
Ubol Ratana Lake and Dam, or you can drive a car to the top.

Ubol Ratana Dam impounds Nam Phong Stream, a tributary of Chi
River, located in the area called Phong Neeb, in Khuean Ubolratana
Sub-district, Ubolratana District, approximately 50 kilometers north of
Khon Kaen town. It is Thailand’s second multi-purpose dam,
established after the Bhumibol Dam, and also the first dam for
electricity generation of the Northeastern region. It is an earth core
rockfill dam which is 885 meters long and 32 meters high. Its reservoir
has a maximum storage capacity of 2,559,000 cubic meters and can
generate 55 million kilowatts of electricity per hour.

Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon,(พระมหาธาตุ แ ก่ น นคร) Kaen Nakhon,
'The Great Buddha's Relics' or 'The Nine Story Stupa Located in
Wat Nong Waeng,' is a Thai royal temple of the old town. Wat Nong
Waeng is located close to Kaen Nakhon marsh on Klangmuang
Road, Muang District. Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon was
established to celebrate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of His
Majesty Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne and to
celebrate the 200th anniversary of Khon Kaen province's
establishment. Its thorough spire, Isaan fishnet shape, IndochinaDvaravati Era Style, imitated Phra That Kham Kaen. Its base is a
square shape of 50 meters on each side and 80 meters in height,
where are situated the four-mini-Buddha's relics in each corner
sheltered by a seven-head-naga crystal wall.

In Northeastern region of Thailand, Hong Moon Mung means a
treasure hall. Therefore, Hong Moon Mung Khon Kaen City
Museum is a treasure hall where the historical articles of Khon
Kaen are preserved. Located by the Kaen Nakhon Lake in the
town, the museum is the center for research and study where the
historical information of Khon Kaen from past to present are
separately exhibited in 5 zones after their contents, since
prehistoric era until present. The exhibitions are presented through
models and modern interactive media.
