Minh Doi in ASEAN-KKU Festival
Nguyen Minh Doi is a student of the Advanced Program of Biotechnology Course 34
(ABC34). He received his Bachelor’s degree in September, 2013 and his academic research is
“Study on defined alcoholic starter using rice malt as substrate”. In August 2013, he had a
chance to attend “the 5th International Conference on Fermentation Technology for Value
Added Agricultural Product” (FerVAAP 2013) organized by the Faculty of Technology, Khon
Kaen University, Thailand and presented his research in this Conference. He is one of
recipients of scholarship “The KKU Scholarship for ASEAN and GMS Countries’ Personnel,
Academic Year 2014”. This scholarship provided him the opportunity to study Master’s degree
Program in Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
Currently, Minh Doi is studying a 2-year Program of Food Safety and Quality
Management System in the department of Food Technology, faculty of Technology, Khon
Kaen University. This Program with well-organizing curriculum is opened for International
Students and Khon Kaen University is also one of the earliest universities teaching this
program in Thailand. In Khon Kaen University, he will study the management systems using in
food industry such as HACCP, ISO, GMP, GAP, etc and analytical techniques applied in food
industry. Minh Doi is going to do the research for his thesis which related to using Essential
Oils from herbs to prevent foods from microbial contamination.
