20 % of total course points will come from ATI content testing scores. Course syllabi will
identify the total number of points assigned per content test. Students’ course points will be
awarded based on the higher of the two ATI test scores per content area.

Points will be earned based on the Plan A Scale:
PLAN A SCALE
ATI Proficiency Level 3: 100% of points assigned for test will be earned
ATI Proficiency Level 2: 80% of points assigned for test will be earned
ATI Proficiency Level 1: 60% of points assigned for test will be earned
ATI Proficiency Below Level 1: No points will be earned
FAILURE TO TEST AS SCHEDULED:

If a student fails to complete the first testing session as scheduled the student will receive
zero points for the exam
REMEDIATION PLAN A

After finishing the test the student is to develop an on-line focus review of content missed
while still on the ATI web site.

Students who do not score the target goal of Proficiency Level 2 will spend a minimum of 12
hours remediating on their focus review on the ATI web site by computer.

Students must complete required remediation hours prior to scheduled second testing date.

The student and instructor are to sign two copies of this agreement.

The student and instructor are both to retain their copy of the agreement.

Students who do not obtain the required minimum score on the second testing following
remediation will be required to sign and complete a Content Test Plan B Remediation
Agreement.

REMEDIATION PLAN B

After finishing the test the student is to develop an on-line focus review of content missed
while still on the ATI web site.

The student will then meet with a nursing faculty member to discuss their results.

Students who do not obtain the target goal of Proficiency Level 2 will be required to sign and
complete a Content Test Plan B Remediation Agreement.

The subject/topic of the required computer questions will be based on the student’s focus
review identified areas requiring remediation.

The required computer questions may be done 50 at a time (minimum) from any review book
except: Silvestri, L.A. Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination
Saunders Elsevier.

The student and instructor are to sign two copies of this agreement.

The student and instructor are both to retain their copy of the agreement.
FAILURE TO TEST AS SCHEDULED AND/OR SUBMIT REQUIRED QUESTIONS ON DUE
DATE:

If a student fails to complete a second testing session as scheduled, the student will receive their level
of proficiency from the first testing. If the first testing score is below Proficiency Level 2 the student
will have to complete with 85% or better accuracy within two weeks the required number of
questions based on their proficiency level.

Failure to submit required questions ( with a minimum of 85% accuracy) to the Program Director by
the due date will result in 5 points per day being subtracted from each nursing course the student is
currently enrolled in until the assignment is submitted.

NUTRITION REMEDIATION PLAN B

After finishing the test the student is to develop an on-line focus review of content missed
while still on the ATI web site.

The student will then meet with a nursing faculty member to discuss their results.

Students who do not obtain the target goal of Proficiency Level 2 will be required to sign and
complete a Content Test Plan B Nutrition Remediation Agreement.

The Plan B Nutrition Remediation consists of approximately 170 questions. Questions for
required chapters range in number from 2-11 per test/page and are short answer or multiple
choice.

Students will submit all work online to the director of nursing’s email. Directions for
submission are at the bottom of each page of test questions to be submitted.

The student will complete all nutrition questions with a cumulative total of 85% accuracy.

Students may submit work as they complete it.

The student and instructor are to sign two copies of this agreement.

The student and instructor are both to retain their copy of the agreement.

COMMUNITY REMEDIATION PLAN B

After finishing the test the student is to develop an on-line focus review of content missed
while still on the ATI web site.

The student will then meet with a nursing faculty member to discuss their results.

Students who do not obtain the target goal of Proficiency Level 2 will be required to sign and
complete a Content Test Plan B Community Remediation Agreement.

The Plan B Community Remediation consists of approximately 104 questions. Questions for
required chapters range in number from 15-18 per chapter.

The student will complete all community questions with a total of 85% accuracy per chapter.

Students may submit completed packet prior to deadline.

The student and instructor are to sign two copies of this agreement.

The student and instructor are both to retain their copy of the agreement.

DATE:

If a student fails to complete a second testing session as scheduled, the student will receive their level

Locate your Resources on the left hand side under My Content and click the link for the title of your Resources.
Click on: Potter & Perry: Fundamentals of Nursing, 7th Edition.
Click on Resources.
Click on required chapter.
Review the chapter content.
Complete NCLEX- style Review Questions and complete till 85% for each chapter.
Print the results for each chapter.
Submit all results to D.O.N. by due date in an envelope per nursing policy.

DOSAGE CALCULATION REMEDIATION PLAN
The Nursing Department has established a dosage calculation remediation plan for all NUR104,
NUR200 and NUR201 students who do not score a minimum of 85% on required calculation
unit/module exams. The program is designed to require students to seek tutoring help within the
tutoring classes offered by the Nursing Department.
Students in NUR104 and NUR200 who do not score a minimum of 85% on required calculation
unit/module exams are required to attend 4 – 1 hour tutoring sessions within the schedule posted by
the Nursing Department and secure the signature of the instructor on the tutoring record to verify
attendance. Students must complete all required hours before the last date to withdraw from the
course.
Completion of the dosage calculation remediation plan is a requirement for successful completion of
NUR104 and NUR200.
Students in NUR201 who do not score a minimum of 85% on required calculation unit/module
exams are required to attend 6 – 1 hour tutoring sessions within the schedule posted by the Nursing
Department and secure the signature of the instructor on the tutoring record to verify attendance.
Students must complete all required hours before the last date to withdraw from the course.
Completion of the dosage calculation remediation plan is a requirement for successful completion of
NUR201.
Students in NUR104/NUR200/NUR201 will leave their Tutoring Record in the Nursing Department.
NUR104/NUR200 students will remediate on the following content areas:
