**Demonstrated proficiency on the third-grade standards can be achieved by
passing the local alternative assessment, completing a student reading
portfolio, or passing the fall administration of the state Read to Achieve test.

o Extra intervention time dedicated to reading instruction
o Differentiated reading instruction based on your student’s individual reading
