FOOD VENDOR APPLICATION
Application Deadline is April 17, 2015
Celebrate Morrisville’s cultural diversity through food, music and performing arts. Expected attendance is about 3,000
people.
Applications
Applications must be filled out completely. Due to the county permit process, no applications will be accepted after the
deadline. Qualifying applicants will be accepted based on availability of space.
East Meets West is held rain or shine. In case of lightning, the festival will be cancelled. There is no rain date. There are no
refunds for inclement weather. If a restaurant cancels participating prior to April 17, a full refund will be granted. No refunds
will be granted after April 17.
A menu with pricing is required when submitting this application. Wake County Environmental Services requires restaurants
submit a menu with the application. You may submit your form without that information;
however we will need you to have that ready for submission by April 17. You may sell

All food vendors are required to submit a Temporary Food Establishment permit by
Friday, April 17. Please call
(919) 856-7419 if you have any questions about this permit. The Temporary Food Establishment permit application, the food
vendor application and payment to the Morrisville Innovation Foundation must be submitted by April 17. The Morrisville
Innovation Foundation will be submitting all Temporary Food Establishment permits to Wake County on behalf of the
participating.
Fees
The application fee is $100 and includes the $75 fee for the Temporary Food Establishment Permit and $25 fee to the Town of
Morrisville for one (1) 110 amp electrical outlet. Standard space is 10’ x 10’ deep. Tents, tables, chairs, extension cords, and
any other equipment need must be provided by the vendor. Rentals are available through EMW but must be ordered by
May 1, 2015.

Restaurant Participation Includes







Increased exposure with promotion through advertising, radio, and social networking outlets (including Twitter
and Facebook). Food bloggers and local food media will also receive information about your participation in the
festival.
Visibility on East Meets West website
Restaurants will receive $0.75 per ticket collected in their booth at the event. Each restaurant must turn in their
tickets at the end of the event. The tickets will be recounted by the Morrisville Chamber staff and the
restaurants will receive reimbursement within five business days.
No registration fee. Application cost covers the temporary food permit fee required by Wake County
Environmental Services and one (1) electrical outlet provided by the Town of Morrisville.
Complimentary 10’x10’ tent with one 8’ table for the first seven vendors to submit their applications.
Ability to promote your restaurant with coupon or offers to event attendees
Assistance to meet Wake County Environmental Services required temporary food applications as well as festival
requirements and onsite inspections.
Restaurant General Information
 3,000-4,000 attendees are expected so please plan accordingly. We suggest serving 2-3 signature menu options










in small portions at your booth.
Beer and wine will only be sold by the Morrisville Innovation Foundation in a designated space.
Vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance.
Food samples should not be handed out without payment with an official East Meets West ticket. Vendors
accepting cash for any food or beverage will be removed from the premises.
No vendor can sell water, sodas, or alcohol. Vendors selling these items will be removed from the premises.
Detailed information on set-up, tear down and electrical cords will be sent by the beginning of May, 2015.
Restaurant/vendors must provide plates, plastic silverware, napkins, water and ice required for prep, hold and
serve food.
Restaurant/vendors must provide delivery and pick-up of all equipment at business’ expense including removal
of trash to the dumpster area or off-site.
The Wake County Environmental Services Temporary Food Permit must be filed by Friday, April 17. No
exceptions.
Restaurants/vendors are responsible to provide staffing at booth. (Suggested two)
Under these conditions, the vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Morrisville Innovation
Foundation, its consultants, and the Town of Morrisville from any and all liability for damage, injury or loss to
any person or goods for any reason. The restaurant is solely responsible for their booth space and booth
operation.
