Fundraising Shopping Events 2015
Total funds raised: $3033.
Our 2015 SPRING SHOPPING “FUN”DRAISER was held Saturday May 23rd. $1613.00 was
raised.
Our 2015 CHRISTMAS EMPORIUM was held Saturday, November 14th.
$1420.00 was raised.
Funds were raised by renting out our 6 foot tables to outside vendors for $30 per
table. Additionally we had our own JARBOLA & BAKE plus mini-LUNCH tables using
donations by parishioners, vendors and our friends. The events were held from 10am –
3pm. Both of these events were well advertized, through various media which include
Facebook, local free newspapers, Varage Sale, Kijiji, West Island Gazette paid ad, and
a free plug from Trudie Mason of CJAD who is one of our supporters (many thanks to
Trudie).
The vendors were pleased with the turn out, and eager to return to future events. I
heard from many people who attended these events that the parishioners of St.
Mike’s are a warm and welcoming group of people.
Many thanks to each of you who donated time, baked goods, and jars. I look forward
to the next event, which I am tentatively planning for early June 2016.
