Our Lady’s RC Primary School Pupil Premium Report
Financial Year 1st April 2012 – 31st March 2013
The Pupil Premium funding is monitored by the Governors.
The amount of funding this school received is £15,0000
With that funding we provide:
Leadership Staff x 2


Senior Manager who regularly co- ordinates additional programmes of support and evaluates their
effectiveness across the school.
Assessment and data co-ordinator who monitors progress and attainment of vulnerable groups.
Intervention Programmes for reading, writing and numeracy






One to one maths tuition delivered by a Teaching Assistant who has received appropriate training.
One to one maths tuition by a Numbers Count accredited Teacher.
Group intervention 1st Class Number programme delivered by an appropriately trained Teaching Assistant.
Group intervention for developing phonics delivered by a Teaching Assistant based on Read Write Inc
programme.
Additional Guided Group reading delivered by a Teaching Assistant.
Wider opportunities and experiences, i.e. horse riding.
Pastoral Support Staff x 2


Deliver planned intervention programmes to develop pupil’s social skills and self- esteem building and
improve pupil outcomes.
Effective Partnership working with agencies to improve pupil outcomes, e.g. EWS ; CAF Lead ; Health.
CPD

The school invests in the procurement of high quality training for Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
IMPACT - Improved Outcomes
The school has high expectations for outcomes at the end of each year group as follows:
Year R: 1c Year 1: 1a Year2: 2b Year 3: 3c Year4: 3b Year 5: 4c Year 6: 4a.
Reading - 50% of pupils have made good to outstanding progress. That is 4-7 points progress Numeracy - 44% of
pupils have made good to outstanding progress.
Additional pastoral support improves pupil outcomes by removing barriers to learning, i.e. low attendance; language
and communication; anxiety and stress; low attitudes to learning.
61% of pupils on the pupil premium register have additional indicators to their pupil premium characteristic, i.e. SEN;
Attendance.
