Intro Criticism Posters: Describe, INTERPRET, Evaluate; teamwork/color
teams- write info for print; 5min; teams rotate 1min- Interpret only
Class Discussion of prints; Intro/Discuss Old Briefcase print- ART?
Teams- write feeling/ is it art? For "fur teacups" print; Brief Discuss;
Intro Audio File given by critics (big words/ vocabulary); LISTEN to clip
AUDIO CLIP (stopping point)="is the key to the way the piece works"

Review Sculptures viewed last wk- what kinds of sculptures? Is it ART?
purpose/ meaning of sculptures? Recyle, hobbie, love, frustration
RECYCLED, ASSEMBLAGE ART
View "ART CARS" DVD (images only/ NO audio- really bad music)- best, worst, ART?

SCULPTURE/ ASSEMBLAGE: Planning_ day 3
Review process: group, item, shopping; THEME/ IDEA/ PURPOSE
Intro/Review group project; CHOOSE team members
CHOOSE sculpture piece- cap, hat, shoe (sandal, sneaker), purse
Turn in list of team & Item-- SHOPPING!
Look @ items to add to clothing sculpture; come up with THEME
Add items to bag; Can bring your own personal items;
DON'T JUST GET A BUNCH OF EVERYTHING. Make a plan!
SCULPTURE/ ASSEMBLAGE: Working/ Assemble.1_days4 -6
Review assemblage process. Jobs for each person.
Demo using FabriTac glue; Clean up glue w/ rubbing alcohol.
Work on objects on blue trays. Another tray for materials.
Write down Group # w/ "concept/ theme" & sculpture object.
MAKE SURE ITEMS GO w/ THEME- items communicate your intent
Should still recognize/ resemble the original item- I can tell it is a shoe.
Ex.”MAN PURSE”- what items make you think ”MAN”- astro turf, beef jerky…
SCULPTURE: Working/ Assemble.4/5_day7/8
Review assemblage process. Jobs for each person
Groups make sure that ENTIRE surface is covered;
When finished, complete GROUP REFLECTION/ GRADE SHEET
Also complete INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION/ GRADE SHEET
