DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM:
OPT-REQ:
Transaction ID adds unnecessary implementation and testing complexity; to be deleted (reserved field)
RxMER TLV compounded multiple parameters, for clarity it has been broken into sub-TLVs
Maximum NCP LDPC Unreliable Codeword Count has been deleted from the PHY spec
Maximum NCP CRC Failure Count: counting NCP codewords doesn’t match the PHY spec, need to
count NCP fields
Out of date with respect to the changes in OPT-RSP status below
OPT-RSP:
Transaction ID adds unnecessary implementation and testing complexity; to be deleted (reserved field)
Second OPT-RSP Incomplete status does not distinguish between Max Duration Expired and Aborted
Nulled subcarriers used but not needed
Uncorrectable Codeword Count: Definition not matching PHY spec
Unreliable NCP Codeword Count has been deleted from the PHY spec
NCP CRC Failure Count: counting NCP codewords doesn’t match the PHY spec, need to count NCP
fields
CM requirement for pass/fail result has been dropped but it remains in the text
OPT-ACK:
Transaction ID adds unnecessary implementation and testing complexity; to be deleted (reserved field)
Downstream Profile Usability Testing Process
Text and figures no longer in line with above changes in OPT-REQ, OPT-RSP, and OPT-ACK
CM OPT State Machine (figure 10) is too complicated. Simplification provided using three states.
