Language Objective: SWBAT express ideas, opinions, and feelings by participating in a small group discussion on qualities of expository
essays.

Teaching & Learning Actions and Procedures:
1. Comp. book mini-lesson: Expository Essay Rubric
2. Pass back essays w/coded colors
3. Small groups: analyze essays to discern what colors correspond to each score
4. HW - Read Ch. 19; Ch. 16-19 SG questions due tomorrow
