Gastroenterologist Brett A. Hassan, MD
Digestive health specialist to join Newburyport Gastroenterology LLC
NEWBURYPORT, Mass. --- Anna Jaques Hospital this week welcomes gastroenterologist
Brett A. Hassan, MD, to the hospital’s Medical Staff. Dr. Hassan will join respected
gastroenterologists Mark S. Amorosino, MD, and Richard Zirin, MD, in providing
comprehensive digestive health care at Newburyport Gastroenterology LLC, located at the
Forrester Professional Building, 37 ½ Forrester Street in Newburyport. Dr. Hassan’s expertise
covers the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders,
including colon cancer screening and colonoscopy, diseases of the small bowel, upper
endoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, and liver disease.
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hassan earned his
medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, where he
also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He also served as Chief
Fellow while completing a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Massachusetts
Medical School. He has many professional affiliations, including the American College of
Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Hassan resides in Newburport, MA with his family.
