under NHDP Phase III B Km. 249/000 to Km. 348/800
The Government of India has mandated the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to
implement the National Highway Development Project (NHDP). The National Highway – 9
(NH-9) connects the state of Maharashtra with Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the
major corridors from North and West to South and vice versa. This is one of the major highdensity traffic corridors in India connecting Northern and Western India with Southern India and
is a major and integral part of NHDP. The Section from Mumbai to Pune is already four laned
and the section from Pune to Solapur is in the advance stage of 4 laning.
The project under consideration starts from Solapur in Maharashtra and Join Sangareddy in
Andhra Pradesh. The project length from Solapur to MAH/KNT Border i.e. Km 249/000 to Km.
348/800 = 100.06 Km is under PIU Solapur. The silent feature of the project length under PIU
Solapur is as below:
