Tasty Creations Cell Model Project
Name: ___________________
In this project, you are required to make a model of a cell using only edible materials. You
are to create a model of the cell, including and labeling all the organelles – cell wall &
chloroplasts (if doing plant cell), cellular membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, nucleolus, nuclear
membrane, endoplasmic reticulum (smooth & rough), ribosomes, Golgi bodies, vacuoles,
lysosomes, mitochondria. If you are planning on a project displaying the phases of mitosis
or meiosis, you have to be able to label the different phases, as well as label the following:
chromosomes, centromere, centrioles, spindle fibers, nuclear membrane & cellular
membrane.
When completing this project please refrain from using allergens prohibited from this
school – peanuts, strawberries, bananas, lemon & cinnamon. Using any allergens will greatly
affect your mark. This project is worth 20% of your Term 1 Science Mark!
