Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM), is one of the largest student-run
non-profit organizations on campus. As a registered 501(c)-3 organization, we strive to
raise money and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs sponsored at C.S. Mott
Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
After an inspiring, fun-filled year, I will be standing on my feet for 30 consecutive hours
with over 1,000 of my fellow students and friends to show support for the families and
children who benefit from the programs sponsored by DMUM!
This is my first year in Dance Marathon, and as a dancer I aim to raise $300 for the many
physical and occupational therapy programs we support. Not only are kids able to conquer
physical challenges, but they also create lasting friendships along the way. Without support
from DMUM, many of the therapies would not exist. Over the past sixteen years DMUM has
raised over $4.6 million, with over $516,000 raised last year alone! As we embark on our
seventeenth year, we have set our sights even higher.
To help us accomplish our mission of changing the lives of these inspiring kids and their
families, I am asking for your support. Your contribution will not only support pediatric
rehabilitation, it will also bring a smile to the face of a child. (include favorite DM memory!)
