I will be able to attend all leadership meetings when the proper time is set as well as my weekly committee meetings.
I understand that this is a fundraising event and I will be required to set a fundraising goal for myself. I will try to the best of my
ability to reach my goal and help my committee reach their goal.
I am in good academic standing with the University and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
I will meet all of the expectations that are set for me by my fellow leadership team members and the Executive Directors.

Dance Marathon Director Positions
Fundraising Positions



Catering: The catering director will work with local businesses for in-kind donations for food and beverages for the
main event, including arranging storage or scheduling deliveries, and prepping and serving each meal or snack. Works
with external directors on catering needs for special fundraising events, meetings and other activities. Additionally, in
charge of Hot Dog Fridays.
Local Fundraising: Will take the lead in developing ways to obtain donations from small businesses in Stillwater
and the surrounding communities.
Individual Fundraising: This director will manage the letter writing campaign for the executive team and registered
participants. This position will also manage fundraising education and encouragement to both of these parties.
Marketing Positions



Public Relations: The public relations director is responsible for promoting Dance Marathon and the Here’s Why
Brand, assist fundraising events with graphic design and promo needs, update the website, and social media. The
director will also oversee technology for photography and videography at all events, and creating publicity videos.
Family Relations: The family relations director works with Children’s Hospital Foundation, an affiliate of Children’s
Miracle Network Hospitals. They will schedule hospital tours for the entire Dance Marathon leadership and exec
team, incorporate miracle stories into regular meetings, and invite miracle children to attend and speak at Dance
Marathon. They will oversee the family relations to ensure Dance Marathon is entirely FOR THE KIDS.
Alumni and Faculty Relations: This director will be the liaison to the staff and faculty of OSU. They will
collaborate with Public Relations Director on social media accounts pertaining to OSU alumni. Additionally, they will
oversee registration for the annual golf tournament.
Operations Positions




Entertainment: The entertainment director is responsible for bringing in musical acts, guest stars, and any other
entertainment programming for the main event. They will also be responsible for the Fall Carnival.
Event Management: Oversees set up and scheduling for the Fall Carnival and main event. Also coordinates with
entertainment to provide any equipment through Physical Plant and community businesses.
Special Events: This side of operations will handle the planning and executing of special fundraising events
throughout the year. This includes working with venues, planning registration, and programming for each event.
Finance: The finance director oversees all aspects of Dance Marathon that involves collecting, counting and reporting
money. They will work directly with Oklahoma State University to deposit all funds. They will track a budget,
expense, and income report that will be overseen by the Executive Directors and advisor. They will ensure the
finances are completely accurate.
Recruitment Positions



Morale: This director is responsible for the morale dance, activities, games, keeping dancers energized and providing
emotional support during the year and especially the main event. They will create the morale dance and teach it to
participants. This position is vital to ensure that Dance Marathon is a fun and memorable experience.
Greek Relations: This director is vital for recruiting the Greek community for all events. They will be responsible for
communicating and building relationships with each chapter.
Residential Life Relations: This director is vital for recruiting Residential Life students for all events. They will be
responsible for communicating and building relationships with each hall.
