Description of Business Environment:
Thisprogram is a multinational Information Technology program focused ontransitioning a
European customer to a service based enterprise posture. The scope will entail datacenter
consolidation, application/user migration,service management & control design and
implementation over approximately a five year period. The span of responsibility spans
14+countries,40+ sites, and 20K+ users. The focus is to optimize IT assets andresources
over the lifecycle of the program to enhance customer operations.
Specific Job Description:
Provide systems engineering, technical expertise and datacenter engineering expertise to
design, install, and configure and transition the existing enterprise IT environment to an
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) private cloud operating model within the new NATO
Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
The job responsibilities include the design and configuration of the Network, Storage, and
Compute layers of the IaaS to support 18,000 users within the European corridor. This
includes solutions specifications, systems build, deployment, support, and product lifecycle
management. Heavy emphasis will be placed on successful Information Assurance
remediation and compliance.









Facilitate design meetings to ensure the interoperability of all necessary systems that
comprise the IaaS
Experience designing and implementing infrastructure systems in a virtual
environment.
Ability to analyze problems and provide alternative solutions and recommendations.
Lead improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements.
Excellent application integration troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose
system problems.
Ability to document the environment, report status, and maintain updates to the
baseline documentation
Responsibility for embracing and demonstrating proactive behaviors and performing in
a team environment in all aspects of job responsibilities and position.
Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to maintain the security and
standards set forth by the company is required
Participate in service review meetings with customers
Required Skills:
 5 or more years of experience serving in an Infrastructure Lead or similar role on a
large enterprise scale
 3+ years of experience in SAN/NAS design, implementation and administration with
focus on EMC storage arrays (Netapp, Fabric MetroCluster, 7-Mode and Cluster Mode
Data ONTAP, replication, multi-path, analystics, performance tuning and similar
storage appliances
 3+ years’ experience configuring Cisco switches and routers
 3+ years’ experience with Network virtualization technologies such as VMware
including design, deployment, and administration
 Experience performing IA activities in support of software and system requirements,
design, development, testing and sustainment
 Some experience with risk and vulnerability assessments and mitigation
 Knowledge of the Microsoft best practices and build methods with proven expertise and
professional level work experience with the above mentioned Microsoft systems
 The successful candidate should have at least two or more of the following
certifications: from Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, BMC, EMC, and/or NetApp
 Cisco CCNA Certification
 Proficient in Microsoft infrastructure security
 ITIL Foundations Certified
 Desired Skills •
CISSP certification
 Microsoft Server 2012R2 AD (Active Directory) experience
 PKI and Identity Management
 Experience with NATO or US DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides
 Microsoft Certifications (AD, Exchange, Lync, SQL, SCOM, SCORCH)

Standard Job Description:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk,
and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at
all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation,
operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of
customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical,
schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade
studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer
requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Ideally require Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically
achieved through extensive professional experience. Will also consider individuals with
equivalent experience / combined education.
