Minutes of Missouri State University Panhellenic
March 19, 2014
The General Council meeting was called to order by President Morgan McNeal at 4:00 pm at the PSU
Parliamentary Room. The roll was called by Vice President of Administration, Sonya Kilongkilong
ROLL CALL: )))
SPEAKERS:
Brandon Jenson and Ty Jones were slated for the 2015 Greek Week Directors. Speeches were given in front of the
councils. These positions will be voted on next week.
PREVIOUS MINUTES The previous minutes were read and approved by our delegate
OFFICER REPORTS
I.
President, Morgan McNeal (Morgan21@live.missouristate.edu)
a. Advance Panhellenic will be April 13th at 11:00am. Chapter delegates as well as presidents are to
attend. Please have your chapter Presidents email with the names of the women who are able to attend
as well as those who are not able by April 2nd.
b. Please be respectful during Greek Week!
c. No General Council next week!

a. Spring 2014 Public Affairs Convocation Lecture -- General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.) Free event!

b. Carrie's Cafe is now open---located in Professional Building, Room 426. Carrie's Cafe is a restaurant
completely run by Hospitality and Restaurant Association students. Open from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00
p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Stop by and grab some lunch, or you can call in and get food to
go!
c. Upcoming Philanthropy events:
Tri Sigma Taco Night: this Thursday, March 18th 5:00 - 8:00 pm at their house. $7 per person.
Bring an extra dollar or a canned good for dessert!

a. GAMMA basketball tournament is April 15 from 4-10, each chapter must have at least one team
b. Working on rescheduling the cancelled educational event for sometime in April, I will let you know as

Marissa Buechel moves to approve the changes to recruitment rules, schedule, and video guidelines.
Alpha Chi Omega seconds. Motion was approved with a 8/8 voting Y.
NEW BUSINESS
Sigma Sigma Sigma moves to change philanthropy from April 1- April 22. ADPi seconds. Date times were
discussed.

SAC: - Keep applying for SAC exec board. Applications are due next Tuesday (25th) at 5 p.m.
 If you haven't already heard, the Big Spring Concert is going to be Tyga and Childish Gambino! Tickets are
$25 for students and go on sale this Friday. Tickets for the public are $40 and go on sale next Wednesday.
 This week's film is The Hobbit, and it will be showing at 9 p.m. in the PSU Theater on Wednesday, the
19th, and Sunday, the 23rd.
 Thursday is A Bear-I-Can Idol from 9-12 p.m. in the PSU Food Court.
 Friday there is a comedy show by the duo Carlie and Donie at 7 p.m. in the PSU Theater.
 Also Friday, we have Rock-n-Bowl from 7:30-10:30 p.m. in the PSU Level 1 Game Center.
 Next Monday will be an Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. in the PSU South Lounge.
Phi Sigma Upsilon: No report.
