Task Manager
New Task Manager Interface
Admin tab
The Task Manager interface has been removed from the ALEPH menu, and is now found in
the Admin tab, which is found in all modules.
The former tabs of the task Manager are all now nodes in the Admin tab:
•File List
•Batch Log
•Batch Queue
•Print Daemon

Task Manager
The File List displays the finished jobs that have printable
results. This window allows you to move the results to your
local drive where you can print or send them via e-mail
depending on your print.ini setup.

To print, highlight your report name and click print:

If you wish to save your report to your computer, double-click
on the report name, click OK.

The report name will appear in the upper pane and you can
print from there.

The Batch Log displays the jobs that have run or are
running, along with the description of the parameters
used.

The Batch Queue lists the jobs that are waiting to be run.
In order for the jobs to be processed, the “status” must be
running.

The Print Daemon is used to transfer print files from the
server to the workstation according to the print ID.

Getting Started
GUI Environment
The Course Reading interface is contained within the Administration
tab of the Circulation GUI client.
You can set your Circulation GUI to default to the Course node in the
Administration tab.
This is done by the following setting in the GUI client’s
Circ\tab\circ.ini file:

On List of Courses Node, click New

To create a common course, make sure to check the box
“All Instructors”, then click Add

To create courses related to the common course, highlight the common
course, click Duplicate

Make sure to fill in Instructor Name, Period, Date From/Date To:
When setting Period, make
sure to check box for
description, and box at
lower left
Click Add

To create another individual course, highlight the previous one,
click Duplicate

Make sure to change Course Name (if appropriate), fill in Instructor
Name, Period, Date From/Date To, Click Add

reading list:
