What is IRC
• A component of the Public Affairs section
• IRC role is to promote understanding
between Rwanda and the United States
offering reading and research facilities.
• IRC has a Library and an internet corner
IRC Collection
1. Books
* Our IRC has a library with about 3000 books in all areas:
American history, politics and society, US economy, human
rights, global issues like HIV/AIDS, gender, environment,
media…
(French and English books available)
* Educational advising books and
catalogues for both graduates and
undergraduates.
2. Periodicals
• IRC has subscription to the 45 periodicals
(French and English):
• Jeune Afrique, Paris Match, Femme
Actuelle, the economist, Business Week,
New Scientific, Entrepreneur, Amina,….
Internet Corner
• 4 computers with free internet access
(for research purposes only)
• Internet service available
Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Online resources
• IRC has a new Wiki site
• IRC wiki collects and provides electronic
resources and tool kits that can be useful for
researchers, journalists, students, lectures and
all the people seeking US information in many
areas.
• Power point presentations on different subjects

IRC services
• Research service: IRC Staff assist with
research requirements related to US
• Lending services: 2 books can be borrowed
for 2 weeks
• Education advising: Assistance for
individual interested in studying in US

• Open to professionals and students
• At no cost
• Requirements: a professional card or student card
can allow you to be registered.
• Library hours:
Monday- Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
