PROJECT DESCRIPTION Max 400 words.
a. Project Overview. Please include a brief description of the area of knowledge / technology to be
investigated; the research base on which it builds; its current stage of development; and current
barriers to its exploitation / application.
Please provide link to existing publications or other outputs in Enlighten that evidence the
underpinning research. The KE Fund supports the exploitation of research beyond academia and
does not cover costs for new research.

you are requesting support and how the resources will be used. (Max 400 words.)

What will this targeted phase of activity accomplish? Please list the likely outcomes from the
project (i.e. new collaboration, new KE funding, new intellectual property, implementation by

Project Budget
Project costs are expected to be in the region of £3,000-30,000 and typically not last more than 2--4
months. Small grants are under £3,000, but require the same budget breakdown. Projects will not
include FEC.
