Global Knowledge Exchange Announces the Launch of
“GKE Project Readorium” for 21st Century Literacy Instruction
Global Knowledge Exchange Inc (GKE) is pleased to announce the formation of a partnership with Mtelegence
Corp. Mtelegence has developed a breakthrough teaching and learning technology. It’s a modern cloud-based
reading-to-learn system designed to help students meet the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) Common Core
Standards in the areas of both science and literacy. Students who master Readorium’s interactive lessons are
able to read informational books and articles of all kinds, including science, with improved understanding.
Readorium consists of two products, Readorium Rising Reader (RRR) and Readorium Scholar (RS). They are
modular, scalable, and highly interactive systems and they automatically adapt to the needs of different kinds of
learners. They are suitable for students in grades 3-12, for vocational and college students, as well as for
working age adults looking to upgrade their literacy skills. These systems belong in reading, science, ESL,
teacher professional development, continuing education, and professional studies classrooms. These systems
will also be useful additions to any new or existing GKE “Global Classroom” (GC).
The skills and strategies that students learn by using Readorium will help them better comprehend text in other
languages as well. In addition, these reading skills are transferable to all subjects, so students' increased level of
comprehension will prepare them to also study medicine, business, law, engineering or any technical field
where complex informational text and difficult words must be read and understood.
More about GKE: GKE is a platform for education and knowledge exchange. GKE exists to serve its member
organizations, including schools, universities, corporations, and government groups. Many members are
recognized leaders in education and training. GKE describes its network as a “human network”. This
description differentiates the GKE network from the many “technology networks” already in existence. GKE’s
members complement each other and sometimes pool resources. They are able to accomplish more collectively
that they could individually. GKE is interested in working with education and training organizations
worldwide, including Europe, the Mid East, and the Caribbean. However, GKE has a particular interest in
building links between the U.S. and Far East. NOTE: Mtelegence Corp. recently became a member of the
“GKE Global Alliance” community. The new Readorium systems will likely interest the GKE membership
base. In addition, The Readorium program will be a suitable component in GKE’s “Global School 21” projects.
More about Readorium: Readorium programs are designed for independent student use. The programs are
“smart,” adaptive, cloud-based fully integrated solutions designed to supplement the regular curriculum and
teach students how to extract deep understanding from any nonfiction text. The special focus, however, is on
the sciences. Readorium programs are aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards and the Common
Core State Standards (CCSS). Virtual “mentors” lead students through interactive lessons and in-depth content
reading. The system teaches the strategic thinking needed to understand difficult non-fiction and technical texts
and helps users become self-reliant readers. Students automatically and continually receive text at the level of
difficulty appropriate to their current abilities. The company founder, Harriet Isecke, will also serve as a master
educator and literacy consultant under the GKE-incubated Global Teacher Academy (GTA).
