Your assistant Gary Scott suggested that I send you a copy of my resume and academic
transcript. I spoke with Mr. Scott briefly yesterday regarding employment options for a chemical
engineer. I would very much appreciate your consideration for any entry level position within
your research and development division. I understand that your company plans to increase its
staff by eight due to the expansion of your Dallas/Ft. Worth facility. I will graduate from
Bucknell University in May of 2007 with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.
As you can see on my enclosed resume, I have gained considerable research experience
throughout my four years at Bucknell. In addition to my academic projects, I have assisted a
faculty member in a consulting project for the Sun Oil Company for the past two summers. I am
confident in my skills and look forward to entering the workforce on a full time basis.
