ADVANCED PLACEMENT
AT BUCKNELL
CREDIT
The Advanced Placement (AP) program allows students to begin college work at a higher level. Students receiving
AP credits may enroll, as first-year students at Bucknell, in advanced courses in those subjects, or they may elect
courses in other subjects. A student’s performance on the AP tests will determine whether advanced placement
and credit will be granted by Bucknell. Please note that AP credit cannot satisfy Bucknell’s Learning Goals or
Tools for Critical Engagement. For any course in which a student has earned both a satisfactory AP test score and
college credit, transfer credit will be awarded only for the AP score or the college credit, not both.
