Ninette concerned about go live for finance and wants to
purchase a bridge.
Interface to ID card system will be built by Rick.
Holds – Sandra had said to ask about fine grain access
control. We could do this or could use a generic login for
each hold area. This was suggested at SETA and several
schools are using this approach.
Event management seems to be something that CU may
need as we have lots of events on campus. Sherry is going to
schedule demos of the Banner and TMA event managers.
Advancement and General Person questions are being
looked at by Sherry, Mike, Debbie, and Angie.
Timeline – Candace who did the ODS information said that
Cognos training should be done before ODS training and
that EDW should be pushed back. Sherry will work with
Mike for more changes.
KCCU has some issues with Banner and being able to track
their donations. Sherry is looking at this.

Sherry will see what fine grain access is about and
what costs are involved.
IT needs to look at the fit gap analysis doc and get
with your team leads on any concerns.

1. Oracle Diagnostics Pack and Tuning Pack on
order as of 11/7/08
2. NCOA – The listserv archives have been
reviewed. From one of the archives, Linda
Norman (linda.norman@www.edu) stated
that WWU created an interface in 2001. I
doubt that process is compatible with Banner
8. Jennifer forwarded the archive info to
Anna. Jennifer and I met and sent Anna info
on the file layout for Lorton Data 800. Anna
is checking into this. NCOA processing is
covered in the gap analysis. It is my
understanding from Jennifer that Banner will
be providing the export and import
processing to meet Cameron’s address
correction needs. With NCOA there is no
software to purchase, but a purchase order
must be issued each time a file is sent to
Lortondata for processing. The return file
must be imported into Banner.

2. Anna and Colleen are working on this and testing.
This is paid for each time names are sent off and
alumni is already budgeted for this. There may be
additional costs for the testing.
3. This needs to be ordered in Spring.
4. Chase has not received this yet. Debbie has sent an
email asking about it.

Waiting on an email from Anna on when it needs to be
done. Angie said they had to have it for mapping and
they’re supposed to start conversion January 10.
Data Cleanup
1. Duplicate people w/ different ID #s – where are
we on this?
a. Users working on dups
2. Different school names using the same ETS code
a. Are the transcript folks working on this?
3. All uppercase data needs to be reviewed &
changed to mixed case
a. Can we/have we already converted to
mixed case?
b. Is Linda okay w/ changing the course
schedule to mixed?
4. Blank birth days need to be updated if we have
HS transcript, immunization form or some other
means of capturing birthdates

Still working. Hoping that Clean Address in banner
will help.
There are a handful that are a concern but as long as
the current codes match the codes being delivered
this will be okay. Once we get the file, we will have
to do some comparisons.
Yes. Julie will be working on this early January to
get the catalog converted before fall/summer
schedule begins to be entered in mid-January.
Kurt/Payroll is still working on this. Julie sent
several birthdates to admissions and alumni to be
fixed.
Waiting on Clean Address.
Found a place for these, but Debbie will check with
John about maybe no longer printing the
Faculty/Staff Directory.
Payroll and Alumni working on fixing these.
Doesn’t exist in alumni. Mapping will work for HR.
Linda was worried about previous name and alumni
trumping. She will take this to Data Standards.
Marital status – Will be pulled from BOX for
everyone who has data.

Mapping Sessions
The last HR data mapping session is scheduled for Monday,
December 8, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
UCO’s Customization for Placement/deficiencies, ACT,
CPT scores, curricular requirements from high school
transcript to comply w/ OSRHE admissions requirements.
John supports this.
This keeps surfacing and we may need to provide guidance
via a written standard for handling data loaded into BOX.
Debbie developed a spreadsheet that shows what is going on
in each system by term.

CU will need to make minor modifications. Schedule a
meeting with Banner after the first conversion. It would be
nice to test it out if possible to see how it will work on our
own work.
No. Not sure where to map this. Kurt will send the question
again to Laurene and also Jon Briggs.
NO. They aren’t supposed to deliver the PPRD database
until the week of Dec 8, but we have to have it recloned if
we add any others by Dec 12. HR mapping doesn’t even
finish until Dec 8. AR was told to change everything to two
codes instead of the actual codes. This makes testing the roll
almost impossible. We don’t want to clean up data AFTER
we go live. We need the data clean when we go live. We
may have to have another conversion added in.

1. Jinitiator has been installed in Bur 104 classroom
2. Library Classroom will have it installed before 12/2/08

March 22-25, 2009 in Philadelphia
Debbie is working with Glen and Ninette on hopefully
changing the way we do this.
