THANK YOU
To members of our Arts and Environment Committee
who designed and created the beautiful floral arrangements.
To all the singers and instrumentalists who filled the church with the sounds of
beautiful music.
To the members of the Liturgy Committee coordinators and Liturgical Ministers
who served so faithfully throughout the Triduum.
To the members of the Hospitality Commission who provided the wonderful reception
following Easter Vigil.
To all who shared their time and talents to make this Easter such a wonderful
expression of divine and human love.
HOLY WEEK ONLINE
Relive some of the highlights of our Paschal Triduum celebrations on our new youtube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/user/StIgnatiusBC. A big thank you to Janice Snider who provided the
expertise in recording the liturgies and setting up the channel for us to enjoy and share.
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY - In the year 2000, during the canonization of the early 20th century Sr.
Faustina of Poland, Pope John Paul II established the Sunday after Easter as a feast dedicated to Divine
Mercy. May we continue to grow in our trust of God's boundless mercy and the healing power of
forgiveness.

DOROTHY DAY AND THOMAS MERTON PRESENTATION: Jim Forest, a friend and biographer of
both Day and Merton, will speak on “Dorothy Day and Thomas Merton: A Special Friendship” on
Monday, May 9th, at 7:00 pm at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington Street, Newton,
in the lower hall. Though outwardly they led seemingly different lives—Day co-founder of the Catholic
Worker Movement and an activist, Merton, a Trappist monk—they shared similar concerns and led
disciplined religious lives. Each wrestled with the issues of their time and wrote spiritual classics that
continue to inspire many. For more information contact Jenifer Suehs-Vassel at 617-527-7560 x219.
