Dear Parents,
Can you believe how fast we are approaching Thanksgiving? Because we only
have two days of school next week, this newsletter will cover next week and the week
after. I will not be sending home Friday Folders next Tuesday. I am including the sight
words that we will work on for the next two weeks and the spelling list for the test on
December 3rd. The sight words for the next two weeks are:
A new activity we started in class is writing in our journals. The kids really seem
to like doing this. They are getting very good at putting their thoughts down on paper.
We will write in our journals about three times a week. Journals are a great way to get
the kids to practice the skills we are learning in Writer’s Workshop
We spent a great deal of time in the computer lab last week working on a book
about how we each celebrate Thanksgiving at our house. We will share our final
products with you at the Author’s Tea at the end of the year!
I want you all to know that I count my blessings each day
to be able to work with such a great group of children and such
supportive parents. I am so thankful for each and every one of
the kids and am so proud of their growth. Have a Happy
Thanksgiving with your families!

These are needed by Tuesday, November 30th.
Reminders: There is no school on Monday, November 29 due to a teacher
Collaboration Day.
