Dear Parents,
We have had a very busy week. We started a writing project about
how we each celebrate Thanksgiving at our house. We are publishing this in
the computer lab. The finished product will be shared with you at the
Author’s Tea in May. We also worked on activities centered around the five
senses, nutrition, Native Americans and Pilgrims. We will continue these
themes through the month of November.
We need your help with an upcoming
writing project. Please save the toy ads from the
newspaper and send them to school with your
child. The ads from Toys R Us, Target, and Kmart
are perfect. We need these at school by Tuesday,
November 30th. Thanks for your help with this!
Please find the attached spelling list. Remember that the test will be
on Thursday. Thanks for helping your child with spelling. Together we do
make a difference. Next week’s sight vocabulary words are:
The vocabulary words can be found on the Unit Two Treasures
Overview (green) sent home a few weeks ago. The kids are getting really
good at using them in sentences. Try some at home!
