States and the origins of U.S. military institutions

of the U.S. Constitution
Goals for This Study
Have the students take part in the “revolutionary
road” game.
 Research various people, places and events that took
place in this part of early American History
 Show the students a timeline of the war, and have
them make one of their own as a project

The Effects of the War
Discuss and have the students write their own
personal constitution for their imaginary country
 Review the Bill of Rights and their guaranteed
freedoms as well as the number of amendments to
the Constitution

